Somewhere between several weeks and never. I would say expect to wait at least a month but don't be surprised if it takes several or even not at all. Sometimes you can get lucky but most people seem to end up waiting a very long time. Just keep bumping your thread and PM cyrus once a week.

Yeah, you need to follow the instructions in the link I posted above. You can post or PM the signed message from this account to the admins etc, just make sure all the relevant info is included or it'll likely be ignored.

I have to sign a message using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. I do have a Bitcoin wallet, but I don't think any wallets were ever associated with my account. I also never heard of a PGP key.

My old profile is here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/nelluellu-91888

Probably Im not getting it back am I...

It's very unlikely unfortunately. You can try contact an admin about it and see if they can restore it with some other evidence, but even people who sign messages can still be waiting a long time. Like Welsh said, you're probably best abandoning the account and just carrying on with this account seeing as it the other only has a handful of posts.

How long is the current waiting time for a account to be recovered?

If that's your old profile then it hasn't posted an address/PGP key publicly, unless you sent an address via personal messages then you aren't going to be able to get it back.

Just carry on with this account the account you linked hasn't got many posts, and the only difference from this account is the date registered which not many people take into account anyway.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/recovering-hacked-accounts-or-accounts-with-lost-passwords-497545

Did you follow the instructions there? If you can sign a message and post it here it can be unlocked, but to have it reset/restored you'll have to contact an admin.

Thanks for the thread post.

But I'm not even able to log in. When I use my credentials to log in, I get an error message saying that I need to email this obscure address: [email protected]

I am also unable to use bitcointalk.org on the browser after this for any thread and get the same error message only. Only solution is to empty the cookies ...

Any other ideas?

Hello,

I have an old account "nelluellu" that I had for years. I was inactive in the forum for a couple of years and this was during the 2015 password leak.

Now when I try to log in, I am told to email the admin to get it unlocked, but I have been waiting for more than 6 months now. I have sent repeat requests.

I dont know what to do now. I created this second account to come to the platform and ask advice about this, but I would prefer to get my aged account back.

I still use the email that "nelluellu" was signed up with... and its also from where I sent the requests to open my account.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
