I don't support this. Have you changed to trust depth 4 and see the BIG change in users' trust rating? Most of the persons in trust depth 4 are not accurate in leaving feedback.

The color of one's trust rating has nothing to do with what trust depth they are on. Some people with dark green trust are actually excluded from the default trust network.

You probably shouldn't use a trust depth greater then 2 though

This. When I use trust depth 3 or 4, many trusted feedback are inaccurate.

Pretty much everyone looks very trusted even on level four so level five is overkill in my opinion.

I much rather have the trust depth the way it is and just have the trust system improved overall.

Improved in what way and how?

Can we rather have some update which allows users to see it in other users profile, which trust depth they are on.
Its really too much of work to everytime open Trust Setting and search for that guy (any better way) ?
I am not sure why you would need to know what trust depth they are on. Being on a certain trust depth does not indicate how likely it is they will scam. Do you only want to trade with someone who is on depth 2 or lower?

I'm sorry but I do not support your idea because I think 4 lev. of depth are quite and another one is not necessary. The level 2 is very good in my honest opinion.

I agree. I tested out trust depth 3 / 4 for a couple days a few months ago, but quickly changed back to the default 2. I found that loosening the trust to level four didn't help much, and that most people on the level 2 default trust are responsible with their feedback and leave accurate feedback. I don't trust feedback as much on levels lower than 2, and I personally think that a fifth level would make things worse. I'd prefer to have time invested in fixing up issues with the current system.

going to ...TRUST DEPTH 5.....   sounds like we are under attack....  I have been using default trust depth 4 for a few weeks now.. and like it... 5 seems a bit over kill.....     But would be interesting to see what it looks like....

I think the reason the current max is 4 is that even that makes most ratings go funky. 6 layers (depth 5) becomes pretty incestuous and it becomes hard to tell what is useful or not.

As the number of people in the forum has increased a lot since past few months and a lot many high ranked and trusted members,
I guess its time to have a new trust depth called Trust Depth 5.
I have seen many people with Dark Green trust or Light Green Trust who aren't even in Trust Depth 4.
Actually truly saying, I don't really get all this trust thing so if I stated anything wrong, I would love to be corrected Smiley
