You should lure them with make-ups or dresses then have them pay it with bitcoins.  This is the most common demand among women so, in order to have them involved with cryptos the products I mentioned should be a good way to start with.

Best thing is to look up to the women yourself as you may probably not get what you requested for real quick
That's why he's asking and created a thread here about his research but he's not been here for a while and inactive for almost 3 weeks without replying here so this might be resolved or he's no longer interested.

Interesting research project. I'm pretty active on social media and I've seen a couple of bitcoin moms or female investors who are very passionate about bitcoin and or other cryptocurrencies. But does it really matter that much? It's a common stereotype that women are less interested in digital technologies. But other than fun-fact material, I fail to see the point of conducting a research on this topic. We're all humans after all.
I'm into a miners group and I also saw members there that are moms and has been setting up miners for several months and doing business that is related to bitcoin - crypto.

They believe on bitcoin and what's good about it is their husbands are also into bitcoin, so they are a happy crypto family. It will be a good research too if he'll survey about a bitcoin family.

bitcoin is garbage last time i used it it had 28 dollars transaction cost, how is someone supposed to earn money with this, only thing that keeps it valueble is the claim of it, in the end no small can afford to use bitcoin because of its transaction costs and no one big can use it, because it is just a fraud a media event and a claim without a substance,

huh, wtf? last time I used BTC was two days ago to pay for my VPN subscription using Electrum wallet set for lowest possible fees - the transaction cost was 0.37USD and it took me less than a minute to do the task.

Well, there's a point in conducting this topic mate because we woman are the salt of the world and if we have more woman in crypto currency, bitcoin will easily took over the world cause we have more woman in the globe than man. However, all the government that are so how against bitcoin will give in through their wive or girl friend.

agree with you, research in social media will give more good result.coz i know some girls that know about cryptocurrency.

but although you use social media as reference, i also still doubt the true.
so many male also use female account in social media. one male maybe have more than one account in social media.

I assume that it is pretty equally spread across genders but woman are less likely to tell other people that they use Bitcoin just like for example gaming.

I have also seen very few women actually talking about it and using it. Its mostly males who either buy/sell on their behalf or just women have bought some btc and kept it. Also some of the women take btc while showing their moves online or do what ever you ask for them to do it. But hardly they would be involved in trading/speculating/gambling etc

I'm interested on this topic since I'm not that familiar in terms of using BTC for us women. I think you'll have a rough time on finding ladies here and to have an interview with them. This acc was actually my boyfriend's acc, well for the name u could not easily identify which is which. Good luck on your research!

An interesting study. It will be hard to find. There are women who know about crypto-currencies, but very few of them are actively involved in this. Women are practical, few of them believe in the power of crypto currency. Though I think now interest increases

I'm not a female, but I would like to suggest that you read Kashmir Hill's Secret Money: Living on Bitcoin in the Real World. This book is based on the perspective of a woman who tries to experiment if she can survive on a daily basis using only this digital currency. Her experiment was conducted in 2013, so she probably has different opinions now than she has before about Bitcoin and how she sees it now can be a great addition to your research. Now in case you want to interview her, here is the link to her LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kashmirhill/. Send her a message.

Besides Hill, I also suggest that you search the book Beyond Bitcoin: The Economics of Digital Currencies by Hanna Halaburda and Miklos Sarvary. In this book, they tried to outline the importance of Bitcoin for women who live in a country where they are not legally allowed to have separate banks with their husbands or guardians. This is actually a good read as it highlights the significant characteristics of Bitcoin, particularly its anonymity.

Thank you for the post. Interesting information. I will look for these books.

Thanks for mentioning this book, it looks interesting. Hanna Halaburda is Ukrainian as I see from surname (or Canadian-Ukrainian with Ukrainian heritage, may be it's better to say so).
I checked a bit about book in the internet, and if OP wants to interview the author, I think here is the easy way to reach her https://works.bepress.com/halaburda/

Interesting, most of the women are not that techie and most of the bitcoin people are men. I have a friend on social media that are into bitcoin but they don't know what they do. My aunt that works on a cruise liner is also investing in bitcoin, they both know that bitcoin is more of an investment. They don't use it as currency and they don't understand the technology behind it, if you are still looking for women to talk to for your interview I'll try to convince them since they are busy with their schedules.

You are wrong my friend. I know many ladies who use and store bitcoin as investment . You know in my country, more than gents there are lady software programmers. Most of the men, prefer to study mechanical or electrical engineering and most of the girls prefer computer science engineering. Why should I tell more? Just check the thread of my signature and look for the team members. You will find ladies there. I personally know many housewives who use this forum for pocket money.

In my opinion (I speak of my country) there are fewer computer-loving women than men. As a result many less women know and use bitcoins.

Women has most of their attentions into fashion so I agree on what you say but nowadays I heard that that there are now housewives that are studying bitcoins to gain profits. I will be waiting for the outcome of this research to see how this will go.

I guess, the aspect of the market you have to target is about vanity.  like cosmetics, women's accessories, bags and the like.  this are always the things most women wants in terms of the used of bitcoins is to let them buy what they wanted with bitcoins.

Would be interesting to see the research result (if you are going to publish it)
As somebody already mentioned -try to target social media, here on forum it's hard to see for sure who is male who is female (and of course the number of males is bigger).
I have some female friends who are interested in cryptocurrency, and I made some to become interested, as I talk a lot about cryptocurrencies with friends.
Also on bitcoin meetups I see 10-20 females or more.

Last but not least, to make your research better - you can offer some incentive for participants, i.e. 0.001 BTC ) or give them a reason to spend time helping with your research.

How can you know that a forum member is female, not male?
I think that around 10 or 15 of all of  the active forum members here are female.
You will have better success if you search for bitcoin related social media female accounts.
Anyway,i don`t think that most of the them are really female.

Exactly my point. I don't know he wants to carry out the research. Using the gender notation on the forum will not even prove any better because I have met someone who puts female on his profile but he is a male while some others just decide not to put any gender on their profile. If you want to go through the use of username, while some names are clearly male like Edward others like mine are not.

If possible and allowed by the forum, create a form of Google doc which is linked to the questions you wants to be answered then only female will follow through if they are interested. But be careful not to put any incentive because some people can deny their country anywhere money is involved, how much more gender.

You should include the method in which these females should get in contact with you. Preferably a method that would verify that they are actual women and not men posing as women. Most women at our Meetups avoid too much attention from men, because they get hit on.

The testosterone fuelled room is always dominated with arguments over trivial matter, to establish who the Alpha dog is and the women at these meetups prefer not to take part in that. In an anonymous forum like this it is even worst, so do not expect to get a flood of willing participants for your research.

This could be an amazing research I have few friends roaming around here in this forum and they really are crypto enthusiastic they don't just rely in just bitcoin but they join some airdrops and some bounties too in altcoins payments. Is this research only for a quantitative study of how many women uses bitcoin or you have some qualitative study through it? I think qualitative study would be good for this one.
