I think for this exact reason if the reserve post hasn't been edited within an hour then it should be reported and if the user continuously does this then they should be temp banned. It's the only way to stop this from happening. The posts that have been deleted should be more than enough as a warning.

The problem is not only the res post not edited.
In my opinion the most annoyng this is this one IN EVERY BOUNTY, (I've picked one random)

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.34448911
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.34449208

Reservations post with pics sometimes Huge and the need to scroll 2 pages to read something to skip 1 spam post
This one is a great example
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.34450896

All this when is crearly written from managers:
Quote
"    To reserve translations please fill the form. The MF Chain team will review resubmissions and reach out directly to selected candidates.
We are looking for Jr. Members or above.

Application Form: LINK (I've removed the link)"

Yep those too should be reported. They are the same as the normal reserve posts except they have used an image instead and I would agree that the image is even more annoying than just the reserve posts.Especially when images can take a little while to load and then jumps the page as you are reading something.

Yeah! They are really annoying. I don't know if they are desperate to earn that's why they insist their proposal or just being an arrogant Roll Eyes? It's very clear in manager's post that there are no transalation campaign and yet they still do such act.

Maybe I will take some considerations if a member reserved for a translation service and delete it after knowing that the manager really don't need for translation campaign. But for those who dont, then they must be accused of spamming and reported to the moderator for having right punishment (maybe mods should give a warning for first offense to show second chance for the guilty ones).

What are bounty managers suppose to do about people who reserve posts? Sometimes they reserve posts and then edit it a few days later and the bounty manager might of not seen that they reserved it. This is something that needs to be enforced by the moderators. I know that bounty managers are seen as the evil of the forum and I would normally agree that  they are to blame for a lot of the problems but this is not one of them.
For example automate the translation applications via google stuff or set the rules that will not tolerate service offer via spam. If there are any good translators trying to get a promotion this way they will surely get rid of such a bad habbit when they understand that their current / previous spam will affect their further activities.
It won't clean this forum out of spam but at least everyone will know that those guys should not be trusted.
You will never get rid of spam in the internet even if you hire an army of moderators that will eliminate the forum community. Increasing the forum moderation will step by step lead us to nowhere. Even if it seem to be good at some point.

Ofc such posts should be deleted as a spam but imho this is more about the bounty managers that work with this type of translators. It feels like that none of the reputable managers should use such service. It could be good if some of them could make a public blacklist with spammers and google translators and let the other managers add the other individuals if they find any.
This is definetely a kind of "community" problem that can't be solved by forum restrictions without harming the normal users.

If they haven't edited their reserve post within an hour they should probably get it deleted and if they keep on doing it then they should receive a temporary ban.

The only problem with this is there's hundreds of reserve posts and not enough getting reported.

-snip-
It's really very annoying, especially the big competition in Russian translations, people are getting messages to email about creating a new whith bounty campaign and they are rushing to reserve translation in the first seconds without reading, and doing it in all bounty campaigns, I honestly do not understand how you can reserve all in a row, I once translated 23 pages of text, it took me 14 days, while I worked from five to eight hours every day, I do not think that such spam reservists make a high-quality translations.

The answer is Google Translate. They just copy-paste and translate it via Google Translate, paraphrase it to make sure it is different enough from Google results. I've found a lot of these on my local board. Reporting it to the bounty manager sometimes didn't solve it, as they think it was good enough even though it was actually gibberish.

What do you think about this pratice? A lot of users reserve trasnlations in a huge number of bounties even when they don't have a bounty translation! I find this aggressive pratice very irritating.

Some users use "reserved" or "res" as a text and keep it for days just like that without modification or deleting the post.

I do not think that thus people deserve a ban, I wish that on this forum would be some warning system, like temperately ban, or temperately red trust, it would be very useful for such spammers.

Yes and I reported few days ago some of it.

Oh, there hundreds (maybe thousands) of such thread created each day.
Nevertheless, what I known is such non-sense threads which contains one common word like this will be deleted (I am not sure, might be due to mods or automatically deleting non-sense thread bots of the forum).
Forum rules

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]
~
1. Such posts like "SELL SELL SELL", "I agree", "+1", "Support", "Watching", "Interesting", "LOL", "SCAM", "LEGIT", "FAKE", other one word posts, posts consisting mostly of swearing, quote pyramids, useless introduction threads, threads about a topic already recently discussed in several other threads.

I think their posts deserve to be deleted if no translation bounty was even alluded to in those threads, because their offers therefore are spam.  Probably not much else in the way of punishment needs to be done, but I'm not a mod.

My guess is that these jokers are just trying to offer their services everywhere they can in the hopes that someone will take them up on their offer.  Yes, it's annoying.  These people are desperate and obnoxious and they're probably not qualified to do the translations that they're offering.  They just want to be first in line in case some work opens up.

Yep, that's even more annoying.  I've reported a number of those in the past, and I'm confused as to what they're doing.  Either you apply to a campaign or you don't.  There's no need to "reserve" a spot unless you're going to apply.  Piss or get off the pot.

This is a great example
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bountyico-is-live-tedchain-decentralized-1mil-pool-reward-4312089

Code:
The bounty rewards will constitute 2% of TED tokens created. They will be split among the bounty members in each of the 5 campaigns listed below using the following system:

30% - Articles/Blogging
05% - Telegram
10% - Facebook
15% - Twitter
30% - Youtube
10% - Bicointalk Signature and Avatar

As you can see from the math 100% is reached and no translation bounty is required but if you look after

Also in many bounties the only thing that hunters can do to reserve the translation is complete the form BUT THEY post their fancy reservation everywhere for no reason, this is very arrogant in my opinion.
Do you think they deserve a punishment?
