I was actually in the process of sending money to my wallet via emal on coinapult, and I ended up unintentionally hitting back therefor lost my bitcoins. On the FAQ page it says if the bitcoins go unclaimed for 30 days they will be refunded, but I actually don't have 30 days. So I attempted to recover them but have no idea what they are referring to when they ask for the "Top secret key" could anyone help me with this?

I'll just be optimistic and figure that it'll all get sorted out tomorrow.

I did end up getting the e-mail from Coinapult with the link to the payload some time after I had posted that (and had reported the issue to them).    It wasn't very long so maybe it just got handled automatically after a delay, or a support person took care of it shortly after.

Hopefully yours got squared away as well?

Hey Stephen, after I sent the Bitcoins to myself I sent myself another 0.00BTC through Coinapult to see if that e-mail would arrive. Today that e-mail for 0.00BTC arrived, but the first e-mail hasn't arrived. BitInstant has been very helpful and has contacted Coinapult, but at this point I'm still waiting.

Stephen, I've contacted Coinapult, but reading previous posts I'm worried that this issue will take a while to resolve. Has responsiveness improved with Coinapult Support since then? Whatever, I'll just be optimistic and figure that it'll all get sorted out tomorrow. Thanks for replicating the bug... at least now I can conclude that I'm not just hallucinating!

Well, it appears you may have uncovered a little bug with Coinapult.

I just replicated this ...   I used coinapult to send bitcoins to an e-mail address, and then from the e-mail sent to that address was the coinapult.com URL with the secret.  When spending from that I pasted the exact same e-mail address, and no subsequent message was received.

So it appears that Coinapult doesn't behave well when withdrawing to an e-mail address that is the exact same e-mail address that the wallet payload belongs to.

This is one for evoorhees or Coinapult's support to look into.

Hello Stephen, I never transferred the bitcoins to a bitcoin address. I accidentally provided my e-mail address instead of my bitcoin address in Coinapult, provided my pin, and hit send. I figured that since the balance went from ~16.2BTC to 0.0BTC, that I'd receive another URL where I could redeem the coins I got from BitInstant in my Inbox, but nothing ever showed up. I can also confirm that there is no e-mail in my Junk folder.

So my coins (which I have sent to myself) have disappeared, and I'm not entirely sure what to do.

Just to confirm, from Coinapult you sent to your own bitcoin address and that does not yet show that the payment was sent.   

Have you checked Blockchain.info for that address?  That will help in troubleshooting to determine where the problem might be.

Hello, I just had a similar problem. I received bitcoins via BitInstant, but when I redeemed the coins (using my pin) I listed my e-mail address (the same e-mail address that the coins were originally sent to) as the destination. The coins were withdrawn from the secret location the URL in the BitInstant e-mail pointed to, yet I have not received another link from Coinapult. So my coins (which I have sent to myself) have disappeared, and I'm not entirely sure what to do. I am using Tormail if that is helpful information. Anyone experiencing similar difficulties?

I am having the same no-response issue with coinapult as well. I have used there webform 3 times, with no replies. (Tuesday-Thursday)

My ISPs mail server was down when I was expecting the coinapult email. But it seems the coinapult servers don't resend the email after a few hours. I have left them 3 web form requests, and I even contacted bitinstant (whom the transaction was started with) and they said that they have reached out to coinapult as well.

Any help would be appriciated.

Oh, thanks! At least one of the two missing bitcoins has arrived yesterday. Hopefully the other one did as well.

What exactly was the problem caused by?

Are there plans to introduce the payment tracking functionality to resolve such problems more easily?

both of the recipients were instructed to check their spam folders and reported that there was nothing in there.

Yes, I've used the Coinapult contact form.

No, there is nothing in my spam folder.

I've contacted Coinapult next day but did not receive any response.

When you say you contacted Coinapult, was it through their form?

If they replied by e-mail, it is possible the reply went to your spam folder?
