The continent of Africa has many natural resources, ranging from crude oil to natural stones, but there are no leaders who can demand processing of the majority of the natural resources. Despite the fact that we have fewer natural disasters than the rest of the world, the continent is poor and suffers more of what is naturally available to them. It is my belief that if leaders make intelligent and right demands from developed countries, they gradually begin to develop instructions for the processing of their resources.
Very true. And I believe there is a conspiracy by Europe, Asia and America to ensure no processing happens in Africa. Do you know that Nigeria, a major crude oil exporter, imports refined products for domestic consumption? It baffles me. African leaders have refused to advance their countries in technology, so, most of these raw materials can't be refined there.

Last 10 years?

Are you kidding?

Africa's problems start from way back when Foreign powers evaded and scrambled to colonize their land, brought in slave traded and stripped them off their culture, and they are feeling the effects to this day.

I agree that Africa is feeling the effect of those eras but can you still solely blame the Europeans for today's mess in Africa?
Let's get some things straight, Since before the first Europeans stepped foot in Africa, the Slave trade has been a thing, maybe not in every part of the continent and not in large volume as it was with the Europeans, but slave trade was in existence.
I know the Europeans have their fair share of the blame for what Africa is today, but should that be an excuse? It's like you blaming an outsider for the state of your house. Yes, the Europeans have done Africa dirty, so now that they've left why can't the leaders of these countries put their heads together and work for a better country?
I'll tell you why they can't, GREED. They don't care about a better country because a better country will mean they will be restricted or be in jail. They just care about enriching themselves with state funds and resources.

And this is hard to change because these African countries don't have a working system. These greedy politicians are the system. Whatever they want is what they'll get.
So what do the U.S., China, and Europe do? Exploit this greed. They use the greed of these politicians to work in their favor and the favor of their countries. Thereby making Africa worst by the day.

Struggle over normal assets has made Africa the focal point of worldwide consideration, especially during the last 10 years. From oil in Nigeria and precious stones in the DRC, to land in Zimbabwe and water in the Horn of Africa, the governmental issues encompassing possession, the execution, and control of regular assets has disturbed networks and expanded outer mediation in these nations. Such struggle can possibly influence regular asset supply universally, with both nearby and far-reaching consequences.

Africa is believed to be one of the most populated continents of the world and also enriched with the abundance of natural resources, life has it own way for those who had been living in the region, especially the west African part which constitute th combination of both the white and blacks while the other parts of Africa is mostly populated by blacks, but the challenges i see in Africa is the inability to make use of the resources into a finished product, they lack the infrastructural development to process most of these resources and many where left or rendered inefficient to waste.
The inability of African countries and also my country Nigeria to use their natural resources and transform them into finished goods is one big problem for them.
They produce cocoa in large quantity but they don't produce bounvita in large quantity if they atol produce and they have been made to believe that it is good life to live .
Their political leaders are selling them out and using the returns of the raw materials for their personal development instead of public development.

When you said Africa was never ready for modern politics. Can you tell me why they choose to go for independence when they are not ready? At least a kid that went to school has to graduate before proceeding to the next level. Let's agree they are not ready but they still choose to do some corrections by learning more about the modern politics from people that colonized them if they want something good for their people not just to steal country money.
I think you didn't understand what I said

This current modern politics is Western thing and there is no such thing as independence to the "former" colonies. They are still being colonized, though you are too blind to see. When a country tries to break off from the Western System, they are immediately tagged as enemies. Look at what happened to Libya.

El Salvador decided to be different from the rest and made Bitcoin their legal tender, and they received all kinds of threats from all corners including IMF.
Now I understand your point and I also believe most African country is still enslaved to Western culture that's why you see the Western influencing the African judgment on LGBT, etc.
With that being said, modern politics may be a Western thing but an innovative way of ruling the country democratically.
About Libya, they were colonized by Italy and I don't think Italy influence them in any way.

how long are we going to blame the colonial masters that helped us despite their evils plan in Africa, today Africans are under developing Africa. The white men has gone, we're in leadership positions yet we're unable to develop Africa. It's a pity. Shame to Africa leaders who has impoverished us.
For as long as they will stop meddling into affairs of other states.

If you think the colonial masters are gone, then you are mistaken. They are everywhere, in the media, they call your traditions and cultures evil and backward, they pretend to donate to the needy whilst making a shit ton of money out of such organizations, they arm rebels to destabilize mineral regions and then come around as peacekeepers to grab whatever they can, They choose what you should do with the money they lent you, they "monitor" your election process, they choose for you your leaders and the type of "modern politics" you should practice etc

Gone? Give me a break  Grin Grin

One day we shall rise. Africa shall be great again.
You will only rise again once you completely stop depending on the West for everything. Right now, Most countries in the world are still held captive.

The African continent is lucky to be endowed with a wealth of mineral resources that are not being used wisely or resourcefully. It appears to be a test for the African continent, and they continue to fail. Their over-dependence on Western nations has made it difficult for them to recognize the strength they have inside themselves to build a strong nation from those riches.

Most Africans who travel to western countries for a better pasture have good influences in their places of assignment and contribute more effectively to the country's growth than native nationals. Africans have the resources and the manpower, but they lack the resources to put them to use, which is largely due to the corruption of the leaders.

Even though Africa have been a major supplier of raw material to other developed countries and Africa is endowed with the highest mineral resource both land and underwater, it has become evident that Africa still remains among the most underdeveloped continent around the globe.

And this under development has limited Africans who now see other developed continents/countries as an escape route to green pastures that is why we read about hundreds of death in the Mediterranean Sea and the desert linking Africa to another part of the world.
I agree with some of the this you stated above but not all of them. Your statement that Africa will always remain underdeveloped is not true. If the impediments that are limiting Africa are removed, the continent will become the envy of many nations. The resources both human and natural are available in the continent that will make it develop.
And we can see that the youths of Africa are rising to seek accountability from their leaders. The End SARS protest shocked Nigerian socially and the Labour Party invasion is changing the political and legal sectors of the country.

Quote
the major problem in Africa resource control and management
The main problem with Africa's underdeveloped resources and abuse is majorly a technical problem,  because African countries still depend on European and other Western nations to handle the technicalities that come with the exploration and refining of those resources, this lack of technicality have affected the rate of development in our industries which are dead and now dependant on 100% external forces to get their raw material into finish good.
Africa's major problem is corruption. If African nations, fortunately, start having good leaders, the continent's problems are half solved. Another major challenge is Africans. The average common man in Africa can not be trusted. Corrupt government officials come from the society, it's an indication that something is wrong with Nigerian society. Greed and materialism have taken over the African continent. If you uphold truth and unity, you will be hated in Africa because the society is faulty. I will never blame the West or external force for African underdevelopment, Africans are the problem of Africa.

Started way back in the colonial era. What they are fighting to exploit now is supposed to be tagged the remnants of what they exploited even when there was no media to cover it.
African countries would continue to be exploited because they are not totally independent.
Their policies, method of governance, laws and ethics are all imported. The foreigners deceived them to oblivion their practices and embrace the strangers system of life and that is the major problem of the Africans.

Africa has always been the major source of raw materials since it was discovered by other parts of the world. The scrambling and partitioning of Africa by the European powers show how important Africa is to the entire world. But it is unfortunate that since after independence from colonial masters Africa has never been a pride of its occupants. Many Africans are fleeing away from a land that houses some of the world's precious human and natural resources. The majority of illegal migrants that have died because of the risky journey through the sea, desert, or road are Africans. African nations are currently ruled by greedy despots that want to become life presidents and transfer power to their children even when it is clear that they will lead the nation to its doomsday.

Unlike the Middle East, they seem don't to have a just leader who can distribute this wealth to their people rather those appointed leaders are always corrupt and used the earnings of these resources for their own gains only. That's why they cannot get away from poverty and they always portrayed as the poorest people in the entire world but they can change this and will not gonna be like this forever because the chance is right there and they only need is to choose a right leader that will gonna change this for them and most important is, they need to choose a leader that doesn't really care about money.

Africans enslaving mentality has not left the streams of Africans blood. The natural resources and all endowments is control by few powerful and privileges ones in the society that's why your expectations cannot be seen in views.
The rich are after the heavy weights resources and not ready to allows any poor persons to have access. We have bonny Iceland in  Nigeria, that river generate, energy resource, minerals, mining, crude oil and gas but the community has nothing to offer only the rich leaders controlling it from afar.

Yes, this is unfortunate. Africa is the richest continent in natural resources, but unfortunately it is the poorest among all countries in the world.

Unfortunately, developed countries do not care what the poor people of Africa suffer. All they care about is obtaining resources at the cheapest prices.

In the past, they used to obtain resources from Africa through colonialism by force, but today they use more civilized and intelligent means to steal African natural resources.

African have a very good resources that come give them maintained for years but the problem is that I don't know how to facilitate all these or refined these things mentioned so they are lacking behind in technology so that is the problem of Africa they have a natural resources that can suspend them but due to lack of management is what makes them to be in this way I believe so

Many things introduced into Africa resulted in the problems the continent faces, from religion, to culture, to political model etc. If Africa was allowed to mature and evolve on its own without the introduction of foreign beliefs, I believe the continent will be doing better than they are doing now. Many of these things were introduced because the colonizers made these people believe that their religion, culture and political style was inferior and that they needed change. This was the beginning of problems for the continent.

Resource control is a good political sharing formula for equal rights and harmony. Every party of the county should be able to manage and enjoy what they produce or the natural resources on their land. Then remit some to the centre Government. But Africa the concert is being manipulated. Infact the side of the country that contributed much to the development of the country suffer more, Their resources are being exploited with little token to them. And this has resulted to crisis in Africa. Our leaders keep blaming the colonial masters to cheat us. One day we shall rise. Africa shall be great again.

I think the major problem of most African countries is the political thief and the corruption system of their political leader. An example is countries like Botswana which is richly blessed with diamonds but the people especially those working on the diamond farm are still suffering.
A political system imported from foreign lands.

Africa or all any other colonized native lands and tribes were never ready for the so-called modern politics. I think they were doing so well with their kingdoms and monarchies. Everything kings and chiefs would do would be for the good of their native people or tribes

Not acting as corrupt puppets of foreign powers like the current politicians do so that they can make a cut in dollars or Euros.

Africa's suffering does not stem from the abundance or lack of natural resources, as some argue. Rather, the problem lies in the selfish and greedy leadership of African nations. In the past, these leaders traded human lives for profit, even using mirrors and salt to exchange their own people. Now that valuable resources have been discovered, developed nations covet them for their monetary value. African leaders use forceful measures like guns, security personnel, and militias to maintain control, even under the guise of democracy, and take all profits from these resources for themselves.

Sometimes I believe that Africa suffers from the "curse of the resources", basically it is a theory, a social and economical one that the more natural resources a country has, the more inefficient and prone not to develop their fully capabilities is.

There are countries which do not even have the availability of energy some countries like Venezuela o Nigeria have, and they are fully in control of their power grind, we can think of Japan as a country with limited resources, but they have managed to master efficiency.

Of course, there are also other things to consider in Africa (and Latin America), like the political climate and the impact some dictators have had, though.
