hey goat,
thx for your help but I can't seem to figure this out.
As I mentioned above, I'm a total noob.
After reading this post:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/help-transaction-broadcasted-while-offline-1438456 restarting bitcoin should clear the mempool but that doesn't seem to work.
I'm getting a few other errors every time I try to create a new tx.
Also, I remembered the very first issue that I got right after I restored the wallet and tried to send the first tx. It was something about a socket error.
Since then, I can't seem to send any tx, no matter how high I adjust the fee.
I get the:
"Transaction Not Accepted
The tx that you just executed failed with the following error message:
txn-mempool-conflict

On time out errors, the transaction may have actually
succeeded and this message is displayed prematurely...
...

link to blockchain
(tx never shows on blockchain -> Transaction not found)

...
...
export log file and open a ticket on github"

Is the fee that I'm adding too low???
0.00479 for a 0.35 send?
I'm just trying to figure if it's something I'm doing wrong or if it's a bug or what it is.

Any help is greatly appreciated and goat I'll send a tip your way if you can help me figure this out...

Ask someone from Core, not familiar with that. I think the basic idea is deleting the mempool file in your datadir.

Since then my 4-5 subsequent trans have all failed with: txn-mempool-conflict

This means a tx already trying to spend your outputs is in the mempool. You'd have to clear your node's mempool.

Hey all,
need a little bit of help understanding what's going on.
After a hectic 48hrs with no sleep I was able to restore my paper backup wallet.
The wallet id matched the old name balance is all there.
However, when I try to send btc to another wallet I'm getting a few errors.
The very first tx showed as gray and I cleared it by going to Help > Clear all unconfirmed
Since then my 4-5 subsequent trans have all failed with: txn-mempool-conflict
As I understand, that means that all subsequent tx are considered double spend or some sort of a collision.
Does that mean that the first one did go through?? or is still pending?
What caused it to fail in the first place?
What can I do???

Any pointers are very welcomed...
