Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately the seed I seem to have saved is not restoring anything so I guess all i have left is my 2fa account, can I do anything with that?

Hey everyone,

Recently switched to electrum.  Had to wipe my machine and therein lost my wallet.  Stupid me thought I had recorded the seed properly but whenever I try to restore the wallet with the seed I saved I get nothing on the wallet.  It would seem now that the only thing I have left from that wallet is the 2fa key I setup and a seed from a blank wallet I created? Am I doing something wrong when I try to restore the wallet? Can you restore 2fa wallets? Is  it possible to restore a wallet from a 2fa key? any advice anyone has would be wonderful!  Thanks!!

you can restore a 2fa wallet from its seed.
make sure you properly check "two factor authentication" when restoring, as described here: https://electrum.orain.org/wiki/Two-factor_authentication
