It seems that the price is going up so fast, i dont know why it is happening.

But it seems that this recent rise has only been created by fomo and a lot of other things that are now making the price skyrocket right now.

Maybe it will be touching $20,000 in the next hours, i can not anymore, i just want to see it on coinmarketcap as soon as possible

What do you think the CME will result in, in regards to price, in the short term after launch? Will ‘smart money’ try to push down prices with heavy short positions, or vice verca? What is your opinion?
In short term,it would increase bitcoin price more.It is for this reason that most people are excited. But they fail to see the consequences in future which may cause a huge crash in bitcoin price just like what happened earlier in tulips during 1600's.Here,in bitcoin futures, bitcoins would be sold in contracts which are cash settled. So,bitcoins may be delivered during expiry period.Speculations will be more.Bitcoin price may rise very high and may suddenly crash also.
I think in short term there will be a pump, as it happened with CBOE futures, when Bitcoin made one of the largest growth in % in 5 minutes time, I think the same will happen upon CME launch. I have a quick video proving my point, would be glad to hear your feedback:

It could actually affect the price but just for a short term, it may surge before and during the launch of CME plus all the hypes that other people are doing so we can expect more good things to come out with our way. I just hope the launching will be successful as I can see ' smart money ' is a promising one.

As far as i know in futures cash settled so basically this market is people betting each other in USD on what will happen to the price of Bitcoin. No Bitcoin is being moved or delivered here. For each futures trade there is a counterparty betting USD, not BTC. They measure the price of BTC exchanges and go off that for the market. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes this is correct.

The futures market will have no direct affect on the price of Bitcoin because they aren't buying or selling Bitcoin, they are just betting on the price. Indirectly this is VERY bullish, as it makes Bitcoin seems more "ok" to Wall St. and will help get hedge funds to start jumping into Bitcoin and help get ETFs approved.

But yeah no direct affect whatsoever.

The news has been out for a couple of hours now and nothing major has happenend (not that something major should happen but still in this very speculative space everything could go up thanks to the smallest article) yet, other than bitcoin battling to consolidate around the $10,000 mark. If I'm not mistaken it hasn't launced yet so after it has launched, somewhere mid decemeber, we could see a small price surge but nothing major.

In my experience studying futures I have found that usually, not always but usually start out worth a lot more than they end up opening. This makes me think that the smartest thing to do is outright sell your futures at first and buy back in at the bottom, because I have also noticed that they usually go back up and pump after, because the owners want them to succeed at the end of the day.

The result came out approved. Bitcoin to be used in futures trading on December 18th. This is one major reason we see Bitcoin surging up north
again at this moment $10660.

I think, smart money entering with leverage will make the volatility of BTC even higher than today.
We might see things like 40% correction within one day easily which recovers next day - a little bit like flash crash for example.
This is beacuse these hedge funds manage a huge amount of money on leverage and they all pretty much watch similar set of signals.

usually if we heard about listing the price will be pumped so hard,
but whenever we're reaching the date or the news the price will be dumped so hard.
for now i think we should make an opposite move, because the whales always break their pattern.
and right now it's not a trifling matter so they should try to maximize their movement to get a lot of profits in return.
i guess we should see a huge upward movement for a single night and then consolidate,
afterward the price will start to stabilize itself around $10.000 more or less.
(it will only work if the price keep increasing from time to time,if we're seeing another dump in a few days later we may be can see a huge downward movement)
