Losing and winning are common things in gambling, some even think that these two things are a cycle. Doing revenge gambling can be one way to get back the previous bankroll that has been lost, this just happened to me last night, I lost $250 in my gambling section, then I made another deposit twice as big as before, and it ended up with $1,000+ in my bankroll. Many people think this is a bad habit, not having management in gambling, but if I didn't do that, maybe I would have lost last night.

I have a few questions for you guys regarding revenge gambling:
➥ Have you ever done revenge gambling?
➥ What is your biggest win/loss from revenge gambling?
➥ What do you think about revenge gambling in general?

To me I don't normally encourage that to be honest because there's still chances of you multiplying those losses by losing those deposit you plan to use , to  get back what you lost . The truth is that luck was on your side that night that's the reason you endup winning and the initial money you use which is $250, to me is too much , what am trying to say is that ,the reason you endup going with revenge gambling because the amount you lose is to much that's why you double the risk just to get it back . Well lucky you

Foolish. That is the only way to describe what you've done. You had more chance of losing $750 on that day than you did of walking away with an extra $250 on top of everything you had deposited. That's the reality of it, you risked an additional $500 in order to make $250, after you had already lost $250. You got lucky but if you understand how the games and odds are stacked against you, if you did that every day you would lose everything. You call it revenge, everyone else sees it as the gamblers fallacy which has been known for centuries. Doubling down on your losses, just leads to bigger losses down the road and the casino knows how to keep you coming back until you spend every cent.

You feel the action is right because it works, but your feelings will be different when the result is the opposite.

➥ Have you ever done revenge gambling?
Of course it has happened and the results are not always the same, sometimes it works but also the opposite because when you want to chase a loss by taking revenge, it makes us more pressured to be able to produce more, and I am sure many gamblers experience the same thing, so taking revenge to chase a loss doesn't seem so good in gambling.

➥ What is your biggest win/loss from revenge gambling?
don't remember, because there have been so many game sessions

➥ What do you think about revenge gambling in general?
As I mentioned in the first answer, it doesn't look good. If you want to keep playing, play the next day because your mind will be fresher or when funds are still available and haven't passed the limit that day.

Yeah, done it many times before, specially in the beginning and I have no idea or memory of how much I lost with this kind of attitude. But obviously, it's big money of my part and for sure for others too, because initially, we wanted to recoup everything what we have lost in gambling and we can't accept it.

And this is one of the dangers of gambling and one way to really fall in the category of being a addicted gambler and so this is very dangerous attitude. Maybe when we mature and have self-control that we can get away with it. Games like slots and dice or even table games like baccarat and black jack in my experience are just some of the games that really suckered me in to deposit for me and chase my money.

All these can only happen when a gambler is running after the loss he had already made, which is as a result of many of them, gambling for the purpose of making money rather than having fun in it, if their target set is not achieved, then they try to rush for a recovery plan and still achieve nothing at the end.

I have tried revenge gambling before and I actually got my money back with some profits but I didn't try it again. Chasing your losses most times is almost like chasing your shadow because you'll never catch it. Some gamblers can't deal with the thought of losing, so right after losing their first deposit they start chasing it with all they have in their account. Imagine chasing 5 dollars and end up losing 55 Dollars, this is exactly what chasing your losses can do. If you lose your bets don't make any attempt to fund your bet account to get it back, that might be a very terrible mistake.
I bet you will never try it again because the last time you tried gambling with the hope of chasing you loss you were lucky to come out with the win. For me, i dont care if it is a revenge or not, what i do know is that if i still have more of my bankroll i will keep betting till i get my capital back or profits. I cant just lose in one or two bets and give up immediately. Sometimes that last action could change of everything that is why you here gamblers would say they never give up. As long as the money used in gambling was not meant for something else that is important and i have more for to take care of myself then i am comfortable with everything.

In my own opinion, i can not recommend that you keep up with the habit, yes it favored you this time but what about next time and other times to come will you be this lucky. They always say, gamble responsibly and not aggressively, the way you approached might have cost you tragedy by depositing X2 of what you earlier deposited and unfortunately losing once again. Loses are part of gambling, same are wins, but don't strive too much to cover up your loses, it automatically puts you in a side effect whereas you make the wrong decisions by going too hard which can cost you to lose everything at the end.

Being honest, revenge in gambling is as equal as being ignorant to what has been harming you and trying to beat that in gambling has an opening chances of you loosing more.
You might be lucky as though when you embark but you must think twice that of you didn't win in the first phase at your losts what's the guarantee that you'd win in other phases?
That's aggressive gambling bro and it'd do you nothing than more losses. Congrats if you were lucky to win today but be sure that every day isn't going to be Christmas.

I have tried revenge gambling many times and the result was not really bad in few cases. I think once we know that we are exhausted in gambling, we can always leave and play to bet again some other time. Gambling is fun and we should be ready to lose not always dreaming to win big amount of money when we are not doing something right. In most cases and revenge gambling caused me to lose more and I have learnt from my mistakes not to try such method of gambling again unless their is assurance that I am going to win bets. Gambling has thought me lesson not to gamble like someone that is desperate.

Hello mate haven't read through this threads severally I have come to the conclusion that I am going to ask you a very simple question that will clearify all this point and your objective about this thread which is revenge gamblingas you call it, my question to you ops is, have you try this method again after you created this thread, and if yes, then let me ask again, what was the result from the game, did you lose or win.

I guess your answer will be lose, why because you can't use the method at all and if you dear to you likely will not get a positive results this time, you succeeded in the first place because you have luck on your side so don't let that get you carried away into believing that you will keep winning when and if you keep chasing a direction.
controlling yourself is very difficult, sometimes because we are not willing to lose the money we lose so we want to chase it with just 1 round, but as you said the end result is losing, so self-control is very important in gambling, there are many good suggestions in gambling, but it is very difficult to implement them if self-control is not controlled

Have you ever thought if it went the other way round wouldn't it have been more than a double loss to you? unfortunately since you got back more than what you lost initially after making another attempt people will definitely applaud you for your bravery and resilience but never got to think about the pain you could have gone through if you lost everything. Anyways it's good to know you made a recovery upon your revenge attempt but i will advice you not to always engage in revenge gambling because it can lead you to lose higher than you bargained for and possibly lead you to addiction because you will surely continue chasing loses in subsequent times with the hope that you will recover already lost funds.

You Are just lucky that you didn't lose totally, all thanks to the additional  X2 deposit you did otherwise it would all be counted as total lost. But you should be careful because you might not be this lucky Next time. I guess that if you weren't lucky,  you wouldn't have created this thread.

1 ➥ yes I have done it before, but i lost countless times chasing after loses. the chances of chasing after loses and getting your lost fund back is always 90/10 meaning your loses are %90 while wining chance is %20

2➥I have lost several time so I can't figure out the exact amount to be precise.

3➥ Reven in gambling simply means aggressive way of chasing after loses after much loses. It's not a good habit and it can ruine a persons carrear.

Most gambling will show negative results, and if you continue to take revenge, you will continue to lose your money no matter how much it is, no one can beat the dealer, unless you have unlimited money, when you experience a very big loss, it is better to stop immediately or you will soon go bankrupt

Yeah I've done revenge, but there was a lot of emotion because I lost more than I won after depositing money back in the casino.

What I remember was from $100 to $350 I think it was more enough so after that stopped to continue the game, but after thinking this is not as similar to the previous gambling revenge.

Don't do it again. This was a bad thing for me in the past and now I will not take revenge just because of lust after losing.

This is not a good habit to practice as a gambler because if it gets use to you it will be something very difficult that you can get rid of, I think it is better not to even think of to revenge to get back your money. Like gambling can be predicted,  just imagine you try to recover your money and the first attempt you lose it and you tried again you still lose it, this is just a big lose that it would have been better for you to let go.
Accept one can one try this not more than once and with the amount you can afford to lose and one must be very conscious with it not play continuously, but still I don't think such habit is healthy because gambling is very addictive to do things which you don't expect.

Gambling is fine when you don't apply revenge gambling or reacting negatively when you lose, but guess what? That is the wrong the decision to followup because revenge gambling is a way of losing huge and can not be controlled, with revenge gambling you would be chase winning after lose that is why it's not advisable to chase winning since you can't control it. Revenge gambling is a partway to quick lose even though you win along the process it's always scary to apply this strategy because it seems to me to be a martingales theorem where's you increase your bet after size after losing the initials, and of course there is no difference because them, chasing lose and increasingly bet size.

Unless you suddenly stop gambling then you stop your future loss. But once you deposit again either to another casino or to the current one where you lost you $250 then you have yourself a chance of winning back. You can call it revenge or another gambling journey, you still are coming back to try to win some money.

We may say it's not recommended or not a good way of doing it but we know a gambler always is going to try once again. He may change his strategy but the goal is still there and that is to win money.

Revenge in gambling is not recommended at all, because in the end you will also be disappointed with the results because the results you will get will be worse and destroy your own life. Therefore, it is highly recommended to gamble with money that is ready to lose so that if we experience defeat then we will not have a revenge plan like that. Because of course, when we make a bet with money that is required to win, then when we lose of course every player will do or try to take back what has been lost with revenge like that.

At least, I also often experience things like this and at that time, what was really bad was when I had savings from the severance pay where I worked. Until I used it for gambling which was targeted to get as much profit as possible, but in the end it only made me worse because I lost all the savings I had.

Will never be advisable in my opinion. Keep in mind that we don't and we won't have any assurance of the outcome. Therefore, no matter how eager we become, if you're unlucky then loss is the only thing to anticipate as the outcome. We do understand that in most instances we get frustrated of loss simply because of our expectations of winning in the first place. Anything that will go in contrast of what we expect will surely hurt us emotionally. Revenge in gambling is not something which is in our hands. It would be much better to just accept losses and move on. If profit is yours, then it will just happen; same goes the other way around.
I don't think revenge in gambling is a good idea for any gambler because that can likely lead to many losses in gambling. In fact, someone chasing their losses in gambling can become addicted. When someone is addicted, that's it  that is where all his or her earnings will go, chasing some big win. What you have done, and the fact that you were able to recover your losses, is just pure luck. Out of 100%, maybe only 2% of gamblers might have this kind of result. I have seen someone before who, just because they wanted to recover their losses, ended up in debt and later struggled to pay it back.Let's just accept that gambling is all about luck, and it’s not a good idea for someone to force themselves to get lucky. If luck is meant to come, it will, but it may not happen at the time you want it. So, let us gamble with a light heart, or else, someone could get addicted easily.
The idea is simply instances that some people made a comeback of what they have lost in gambling. However, nothing guarantees that we'd have the same fate. But that's definitely true which is to have a light heart; whatever the outcome is, acceptance will let go of the urge to revenge. You are not going against the platform but simply your luck.

2. Cant remember specifically in regarding about numbers but much sure that i have win up something on having this kind of emotion.
3. Revenge gambling could really that put you up on potential trouble. If you arent that good on handling your emotion then you are really that putting yourself at great trouble.

This is why on the moment or time that you do deal up with gambling then expect that loses would really be just that next in the line. Dont make yourself that being delusional speially
that you are assuming that you could be able to win up on the time that you do gamble and didnt expect those huge loses then this what makes someone do really become
that impulsive on which it do really ends up on such huge problem.

Yes, and just like it has favored you. I did favor e during my time. Yet I dont think it is a good approach because it might not favor everyone. Indirectly we are chasing loss and there are consequences when we are too desperate.

Funny enough when I did that and won, it was a massive win. Because I got 10 times what I deposited. It was in a crash aviator game. I had to leave it for a long time and it did 24x.

In general it's not right and one may use based on revenge and make decisions that they are not supposed to make. It is luck for gamblers to win in revenge gambling because as we want the win so badly we tend to take higher risk.

So many people won't agree that such acts is simply referred to as chasing loss but if you agree with me this acts of yours it's a typical example of that meanwhile you won't regard it as that based on the fact that you had such huge win after all to cover up the losses, so then to answer the simple questions of yours I'll like to say; have never done revenge gambling in your terms buddy cause it's the gateway to addiction if you don't know, and about the win/ loss, have had countless losses as well as wins but I don't chase after them.Currently what I think about revenge gambling "Chasing of Losses" is not ideal and inappropriate for a gambler or anyone in general to carry on with, the end it's usually ruthless, such that due to chasing over ones loss it has amounted to different category of disappointment and violence.

In this case you were lucky, but what if you had lost again? Let's imagine that you lost $250, you deposit $500 and play, but you lose everything again. Then you will have lost a total of $750. And if you chase your losses, you would have to deposit $750 or more and risk losing again. The problem of chasing losses is very serious and leads people to ruin.

➥ Have you ever done revenge gambling?

I definitely don't chase losses. I think it's a very dangerous path, one that I won't follow.

➥ What is your biggest win/loss from revenge gambling?

Since I don't chase losses, I don't have any big gains or losses coming from chasing losses.

➥ What do you think about revenge gambling in general?

In my opinion this is the worst mistake that people should not make. People should stay away from chasing losses. People who become addicted to gambling, and it is because they chase losses.

see this article:

I tried during older days of my teenage life and nothing went good as I've observed, everything got worst and I never recovered that loss I had. There's no such big or small loss, I always considered those experiences I had with gambling as break even towards my finances. Thinking about gambling, generally its always a huge frustrations in life having reverse mindset that wouldn't be fulfilled even though you've having more efforts towards it.

or you would have lost your $500 and now you are down $750. I'm glad that you ended up winning but what you did is a bad habit, if you do that often enough you'd most likely be on a negative profit, what you are doing is basically chasing your losses and it almost does not end well for the gambler when they do that, I hope you do not make this a habit of yours.

To be honest I will like to know about the examples where the gambler who are chasing the losses have actually succeeded in their mission and able to convert the losses to wins ?

I know by searching it on the Google I may found some stories but actually we need to know it from the people who are gambling here and get the first hand knowledge of the percentage of the people who get succeeded if they do the revenge gambling. I am sure the result will be very less of those people who are satisfied after revenge gambling. And most of the gamblers would have lost even more money and they learn over the time to accept the losses and never chase them.

Because it works for you the first time does not mean that it will continue working like that in the future, and I won't even advise you to give people such advice to be chasing their losses because it's one of the best ways to lose more money to gambling; you might try it next time and lose even more than the amount you were trying to recover, and the more money you lose, the harder it will get for you to recover that lost money.

As a gambler you must learn how to discipline yourself and master your emotions otherwise you might tend to make a lot wrong choices when it comes to gambling. Some people think you only need to control yourself when you are losing, winning also comes with a lot of a dopamine rush, when you win the more you would want to keep trying, this might lead to losses. Revenge gambling can wreck you easily, always learn to accept your losses and stop chasing them. Gambling more to gain back what you lost doesn't really make sense if you think about it critically.

New fancy term “Revenge” gambling. I mean, you can say it as just a normal deposit made to recover the losses. I mean, we all do it. Whenever I make some losses and have some targets to achieve, I deposit more to recover the losses and then gamble till the target is achieved. Yes, whether it is right or wrong, I am just giving my perspective. Whenever I lose big, I give a mini break from gambling. I don’t hurry to recover the losses. As you have mentioned, OP, that you instantly deposited double and gambled, it might harm the overall bankroll. You were just lucky, I would say, and didn’t make further losses. Gamble wisely by taking all the calculative risk. Don’t go for this instant revenge at casinos. Don’t forget the casino always wins.

I have a few questions for you guys regarding revenge gambling:
➥ Have you ever done revenge gambling?
➥ What is your biggest win/loss from revenge gambling?
➥ What do you think about revenge gambling in general?

I have never gone through revenge gambling, no.
Actually, I have seen a couple of stories about successful revenge gambling here in the forum, people who lost all their gambling budget and decided to double down, and getting away with much more then they deposited, but it is something I would not do or recommend anyone to do, at all.
Revenge gambling is just an alternative term for chasing one's losses, and chasing one's losses only lead to more losses, in the most of the cases.
It is healthier just to bite the bullet and face the consequences of having bad luck, log out and move on with the rest of one's day.

Also, keep in mind in many occasions people who do revenge gambling use money they did not intend to gamble in the first place, that is how economical issues begin.

Revenge gambling is literally not entirely bad or neither the best approach to gambling, as it involves taking of high risk, of which you are likely to go financially bankrupt if you loses everything or financially stable if you are luck to hit a jackpot. Hence, judging from O.P's scenario, then it's obvious, his might have been a result of luck after multiple trial, which is not new, as every serious gambler might have experience such situation while trying to recover previous loses. Hence, inasmuch as O.P might have gotten lucky at his second deposit, it's not a guarantee you will always get lucky at your second deposit. Gamble responsibly, and take a risk you can always afford to lose, just as O.P was able to afford to lose his second deposit.

However, I have tried revenge gambling, and it is nded both in a mixture of loses and winning via using the minimum betting amount

➥ Have you ever done revenge gambling?
Yes, I have. And the pain and regret came afterwards. It ruined my day.

➥ What is your biggest win/loss from revenge gambling?
It was a small bet and what was left for the winnings to reach the minimum withdrawalable amount was just about $2. I didn't deposit another money but continued playing with the one I had already won hoping that I'll hit $2 or more dollars to withdraw. I was dead wrong. In less that two minutes, my winnings had gone down to less than $8.

I say, resist the urge... It is like chasing losses. It is futile and it always ends in more losses and emotional pain.

Just like chasing defeat... and for me this is the wrong way, maybe you are lucky this time who initially lost $250 and then deposited again after that was able to multiply by $1000+ it can be said that you were lucky last night because you were able to win, try to imagine how many people chasing defeat ended up losing it all.

But I congratulate my friend with the victory of $1000 + it can support life for more than 2 months. Cheesy

➥ Have you ever done revenge gambling?
Gambling revenge? That was once... But never in large amounts but only $20.
The first $20 deposit lost... and another $20 deposit lost again...

➥ What is your biggest win/loss from revenge gambling?
Never... All I remember is that there was no good return.

➥ What do you think about revenge gambling in general?
For me this is the wrong way of revenge in gambling... It's a bad thing to keep doing.

This is chasing your losses and you must never employ this strategy at anytime, The right way and mindset is to forget what happened after you logged out or got out from the gambling platform, Thinking of recovering your losses is very risky because it will throw off your game because you are pressure to win the game and when you are trying to win in a game, you will eventually lose.
I always feel that I have a good chance of winning if my mind is relaxed and very receptive and accepting of whatever happens, it better this way because there's no pressure that will result in a disappointing loss.

1. I'm sure I have done it long time ago when I was still newbie in the gambling industry, I used to have a mindset that I have to take back what I have lost before.
I'm sure most gamblers do the same thing especially newbie because they want to recover what they've lost.
2. Cant really remember because it was long time ago and since I consider it as a mistake so I do not do it anymore.
3. First of all I will not call it as revenge, but it is kind of effort to recover or chasing what we have lost before.
Trying to recover what we have lost before is natural but it can be something dangerous which will make us into bigger loss especially if we do not set limit.
I would recommend to forget what we have lost (although it is hard) then always start a new gambling session like we have never gambled before.

You were lucky yesterday. You may not be lucky next time. So it is better you do not do that again. If you lose the second time, you may think of increasing the money. It somehow looks like martingale strategy and it is very risky like martingale strategy.

➥ Revenge gambling is very bad for gamblers. It means the person is looking for means to earn money from gambling which is very bad.

I have tried chasing losses in my early gambling days and it didn't end well. I have lost some amount and was tempted to keep betting hoping the recover my losses. I ended up staking more than I could afford to lose which made me to take a loan for survival. Can't remember the amount but it was equivalent to my weekly wage. I have also heard several stories about loss chasing and most of them didn't end well. The easiest means to become addicted to gambling is to engage in consistent loss chasing. Revenge gambling like you call it should be avoided because it can cause more harm than help.

God, you were lucky but in my perspective if your second deposit is $500 then you would have ended with -$750 instead of $1000 so there's no way it can be justified as right thing, you took some wild decision at the moment and that's supposed to happen once in a while but don't make it as a habit cause the right term for that is 'chasing our loss' which mostly end up badly.

I have some principles and never try to chase my loss is one of it so I can get away with minimal loss than forcing it to more because of my stubbornness.

This is not revenge gambling, this is Loss Chasing!
It's actually one of the first signs that should tell you you're close to an addiction and you need to stop it now!
It is much based on the same gambler's fallacy that if you have lost 10 times you will not lose 10 times again, which of course's not true, and will only result in you losing much more now that you play haotic and increase the bet in order to recoup those losses.
In short, the worst kind of betting you could do!

Many people think this is a bad habit, not having management in gambling, but if I didn't do that, maybe I would have lost last night.

And if you would have lost that again what would you have done?
Doubling again, playing some sort of martingale on random events that are not influenced at all by what the previous bet result was?

Nope, I haven’t made any deposits just so I can go after a money I lost in gambling - this is the same as chasing after a lost and I believe it’s good for gamblers to realize how much they are risking when they indulge themselves in it.

Quote
➥ What is your biggest win/loss from revenge gambling?

I haven’t chased after a lost before so it’s safe to say that my total revenge gambling lost (as you called it) is $0 and same goes for my win - I’ve lost during normal session currently I’ve been on a losing streak but still haven’t gone back to chase them.

Quote
➥ What do you think about revenge gambling in general?

It’s a bad practice, yes there is a possibility of you winning back what you lost and even more but still there a possibility of you getting lost in the process and then making deposits or using an amount that you won’t be able to lose just because you thought you’d win more if you make use of it.

Revenge gambling you mean chasing your loses in other terms, and this could be good and also bad depending on the outcome of your new session, I have also experienced same thing with yours so me times in fact on a repeated basis I have chase my loses, but most often than none I end up losing more, and the reason is that, each time I me I engage in that partten of gambling, in the last session I am always carried away with my quest to win the bet at all cost and this make me lose more.

But u can say that you are lucky to have been able to recover your previous loses and even make some gains from the current session, but still yet gambling is a risk it either win or lose and the house is always at advantage the reason why many lose more than win.
