what architecture are the block erupters?

I know for a fact that in china they are already selling the pcb boards.

Im pretty sure if you talk to them and send them one, they will clone it. They already have the board.

Let me know if you want the info.

Boards are the easiest thing to make. Where would you get the engine? Fab in ur kitchen?

I'm not sure what you would want to achieve barring from creating your own usb miners, but if you plan to 'repurpose' the boards then I doubt that is possible as ASICs by nature are Application Specific. Therefore they are built for crypto currency mining.

Do you mean breaking down the architecture of the chip or the board?  If the former, what do you expect to achieve?

Here is a link to a quick youtube teardown of the Erupter board with extreme closeups of the key components.

I didn't know the Erupters were only 130~ nm chips.

Smoothie, do you have any links to the details of the Avalon chips? I have not seen that info firsthand.

I'm not sure about the other vendors but AVALON has pretty much opened up their design details of their chips.
