I am trying to reinstall this one by one and now I am getting stuck on the third card. Should I be reinstalled drivers after each successful card? The rig doesn't want to boot up with 3 GPUs now.

The most common cause of freezing up is GPUs overclocked too much or BIOS modded too much. Or a bad riser.

You should check those two things.  Wink

MSI Afterburn settings are:
Power Limit 74
Temp Limit 72 Celcius
Core Clock MHz +0
Memory Clock MHz +0
Fan Speed % 0

and BIOS I just upgraded to latest one from MSI site, and changes PCI settings to gen1/gen1 and activated the advanced 4G setting. I will change risers now and report back.

Swap file?

Swap file is 1367/16400

Long time lurker here, finally decided to take the plunge and start mining.

1x Intel Celeron G3900 LGA1151
1x Corsai Vengeance LPX 4G (Added an additional 4GB ram to test at 8GB)
5x MSI 1070 (tried 6 total swapped them around)
1x Corsair RM1000x (tried two different ones)
1x Drevo X1 Pro 64GB
1x MSI Pro Z270A SLI Plus (tried two different ones)

Risers (I know certain risers are prone to more problems than others)

I basically ordered parts for two units so I have been testing to rule out any DOA parts and can switch out CPU and risers if you believe its necessary but haven’t done so yet.

Running Windows 10 Pro with updated Nvidia drivers, Flashed Bios, Overclocking is at default except for temperature at 70, Claymore mining only Ethereum.

The system won’t run for longer than 30 minutes without freezing - the mouse/screen become stuck, the fans continue to spin on PSU,CPU,GPUs.

I have tested the unit outdoors today since its clear and cool out (50 degree F) and the reading from Claymore shows GPU temperatures at high 50s low 60s and fan usage isn’t more than 30-40%. Had similar results running indoors.

I am trying to figure out if this is a power issue, I haven’t taken a reading at the wall yet, but based on what I have read the 1000 Corsair PSU should be able to handle the 5 1070s.

Any help would be appreciated as I am running out of ideas on what to swap out and test to rule out and really trying to narrow it down whether this is a software, hardware, or power issue.

Thanks
