Ok, get GPU-Z or Afterburner and watch the cards stats when you start mining.
Use Afterburner and make fans at 80% just to experiment if this is temperature issue.
not a gpu temerature both gpu work fine in single mod.
i'm thinking it's motherboard probleme

it s your cable going to riser and to GPU

when start ining gpu would pump power,
cables with time dosen t pass requirement power,

i have problem with one 6gpu rig
every time i change those cables

i'm not using riser's
both card are pluged to board directly

How do you start the second PSU ?
psu grounding

Start that PSU first and then 0.5 second later start the main PSU.

If it mines for 2-3 minutes and then stops, one of those PSU is bad. Either starts overheating or hits the current limit for a particular rail.

Sorry i'm kinda confused here. It's just the fan on the Sapphire card stop spinning, but Claymore is working with no errors?

the pc shutdown suddenly after fan on sapphire card stop spinning " 2-3 minute of mining".
claymore work with no errors.

hi,
   well this is my configuration:
gigabyte ga-h87-hd3.
4 gb ram ddr3
cup: celeron g1820.
msi r9 290x installed in pciex x16 3.0
shapphire r9 290 installed in pciex x 4
psu of 500 watt for the motherboard and the sapphire r9 290.
psu of 600 watt for the msi r9 290x only.
when i start the rig everything is fine then the fan of sapphire stop. after i lunch  clymore's they start again for about 3 minute then everything colapse.

Did you mean Sudden Shutdown? what's your OS? have any error's seen?

Quote
what could possibly is wrong?
i think i should switch the psu so the main psu feed the msi in pci ex x 16 and the 2 nd psu feed sapphire in pci ex x4.
any thought's??!!!

I don't think this is the case, just want to know more details on errors appear if there's any

os: windows 7 64 bit
yes sudden shutdown, no error seen only fan stop of sapphire r9

Do basic Isolations, start with single GPU put in PCI-e x16 slot, no risers, set aside second GPU and PSU. then fired up miner

if this is successful, you have now somewhat an idea what is the culprit.

You have more than enough power.

Use stock voltage/stock clocks with your r9 290 and see if it crashes then.
