I looked up the specs and you are correct, there is no output what so ever. I assumed it included a basic DVI output (single). So basically the only way a gamer can use this GPU is if they SLI with another GPU which is similar spec and has an output, I don't think any gamer will want to go thru that trouble.

I remember when these came out. They actually came out when ETH profitability was low because it came out in 2018, and many bought these and later sold as a loss until the bull market came back in early 2019. So they got fairly good years out of them. Almost as a good value as the RX series from AMD.
In 2019, similar p106 video cards were sold very cheaply on aliexpress with instructions on how to configure this GPU to work on a motherboard with a built-in video output. Then the masters learned how to fix video outputs on these video cards. Now the market is full of offers and gamers will not buy it.

That is the beauty of this ASIC,they are always improving the firmware to keep and mining the most of the well known coins during this time,of course the ETCHASH algorithm and I don't know but most likely they will implement dual mining in the future, there are certain pools that tries to be friendly to dual mining even for ASIC devices and one of such pools is the Ezil.me which I always use in dual mining ETC+ZIL.I am only mining with 100 Mhsh and 200 watt power consumption but I would love to have that ASIC as I said if I had the possibility to find it here where I am.
I heard that ASICs have problems with dual mining, so the pools stopped allowing ZIL dual mining.
ETC is an old dinosaur, and no big changes in profit are expected on this coin, but it is possible to get a long payback for equipment.

You can always exchange that ETC which is what I do to any of 500 supported coins in Atomic wallet and that can be considered as a good option because of low fees compared to other places.I agree with you that ETC is a dinosaur as it was a giant sleeping in 2020 or 2021 I think where it got from that 9 dollars to 179 dollars which is the all time high of this coin. For people who believe in another all time up to that level which from now would be just a x10 multiplier (gambler's term  Grin) is not worth but for people who are expecting at least a near x100 multiplier in the long term may still be the best choice to mine.
I don't want to buy asics for this coin, it's easier for me to buy this coin now. For your video cards, this is unprofitable mining, I think you need to look for more profitable coins and then buy Ethereum Classic.
Not all exchanges had a price of $179, I sold this coin for a little more than $100.

I think it was just before summer and that 179 dollars as a price lasted very short as a time frame so you have sold at a good price nevertheless.I remember one guy here who sold 2000 of such coins at 9 dollars where he had mined them when they were 3 in exchanges,he was really sad when he saw the price skyrocketing to such levels.

I want to buy an ASIC but only an ASIC that I can run at home like the one here X4 JAS at 240 watt power as that is almost what I consume with 2 GPU-s at 100 Mhsh right now,but I would get over 500 Mhsh which is over x5 profit more crypto rewards daily than I do know.
I think that you will be at a disadvantage compared to Antminer E9 Pro buyers.
You can buy a higher performance ASIC if you have a private house and install it in a garage or other room where the noise will not bother you.
New asics will become cheaper and the hashrate will increase.

Yeah not surprised. They really should of liquidated those GPUs during the POW days. The issue with those GPUs in particular is that they aren’t oriented for gaming. They got 1 output if I recall. So most likely no gamer will buy them.

Add in bad profitability and hence the price. The seller probably assumed ETHW or ETC would gain more market cap and it would remain profitable however months have gone by and not much has changed.

I think these rigs prices will even go more down with the passing of time and nothing happens in ETHW,ETC or ETF coins, these are the only GPU-s ETCHASH coins that can be mined, the top ones as there are others also but nothing is changing.I also changed from ETHW to ETC my mining rig only to get the money to my Atomic Wallet to directly exchange there in ZIL as I don't see that much other options for mining. With the passing of time most probably the people will start getting more angry and bored as they will see there is very little profit and sell even newer rigs at a very cheap price,I am exactly waiting for that moment.
ETHW, ETC or ETF are coins for mining with the help of asics. I don’t see any hope of making a profit on these coins. There is little profit at an electricity price of 5 cents, but after 5 years of mining, video cards need to work for at least 3 years. This is a bad lottery.

Yeah I have seen those Jasminer at just over 1 Ghsh for 340 watt power consumption and also the Ipollo Se and mini versions, they consume really low in terms of power and their hash rate is big enough,I think that you are right and maybe video cards are indeed a bad lottery which need to be changed for these types of efficient miners which anyone can keep in some space in their home no matter how small their home maybe,I love producers which make ASICS with low power consumption and a relatively good hash rate.If I had money to spare I would definitely buy that Jasminer X4 at 340 watt for 1040 Mhsh.
A new ASIC model Jasminer X16 has already been released: 1845 MH/s at 630w. In terms of its energy efficiency, it is more profitable than older models and more profitable than Antminer E9 Pro, but there will be problems with the purchase. Antminer E9 Pro is sold from many trusted vendors for 4-4.5 thousand dollars at retail. Jasminer X16 I think will cost the same, but now it has to wait about 2 months.

This clearly is a much better ASIC and I think it should be a great buy for anyone who has the money. For me I would buy the X4 if its price goes down with the release of this new one.Unfortunately there are not many people willing to sell used units of such good miners, even the E9 Pro which is more widely available I have checked locally and internationally and very few persons sell such devices,it means that there are people,a lot of them believing in the long term of mining success,I only wish had like 5000 dollars spare to buy one such device and keep it in my home and be extremely happy  Grin.
Jasminer are very expensive ASICs. Antminer E9 Pro will replace 7 Jasminer X4 ASICs. I think the Antminer E9 Pro update is coming soon and we will see even more hashrate to make the competitors lose out.

This one though is not that expensive at 2000 dollars I think, considering that Bitmain rarely makes efficient miners in terms of consumption (and I mean in the low side of power consumption because they may be very efficient with devices with much higher hash rate) and this can run at home very stable and very good.

If I had to build a rig with 8 GPU-s to make it go to 520 mhsh I would most likely pay more money than 2000 dollars and surely that rig would need more maintenance than this X4 Asic device.I have never been a fan of ASICS exactly because of that higher power consumption but now seeing manufacturers that have lowered drastically the power consumption I am thinking seriously of owning one.
I would study the prices of 3060 ti video cards in order to build a mining farm of 8 video cards. Most likely it will be more expensive, but you will have the choice to mine some profitable coins in the future. And with this ASIC you will have a choice of several popular coins.

These video cards do not have a video output and it seems impossible to remake them for gaming models. But with the cost of analogues at $ 150, any upgrades to these video cards will be unprofitable unless you make a decision for yourself.
Now in Moscow there is a very cheap market for old visible cards older than 4 years. If you are interested in prices, write here.

In Moscow, electricity costs about 6 cents, so the profit from such video cards is about 6 cents per day. Such a mining farm consumes 1100-1200 watts, and the profit is 40-50 cents per day. Therefore, miners sell these mining farms.

Interesting price and I would buy them if I had cheap electricity, nevertheless 8 such GPU-s with near 40 Mhsh in Ethereum Classic is about 320 Mhsh which is a nice amount to test waters for people who want to try out and see for themselves.I don't know if you will see in any other country such price,in fact it is a long time I haven't checked locally but these people here are crazy they want to sell like is a crypto summer and not a crypto winter, they want to sell in a very expensive way, cheapest price I found is 16.000 EUROS for 26 rigs with 6 x 1070 GTX cards most and a couple with 8 GB Rx 580 and they only sell in bulk,it means 615 EURO per rig but the cards are 6 year old.

This is not a sale ad. This is an overview of interesting prices in Moscow.
What do you think of these prices?

"Completely ready rig for mining
8 graphics cards in a purge case
Case + motherboard + cooler + power supply + ssd
"
For 490 dollars you get not only 8 GPUs but also a complete set for a mining farm.
The p104-100 video card is an analogue of the GTX 1080, and even better on some algorithms for mining, but these video cards do not have video outputs.

These are old GPUs that are over 5 years old, but what a price.
