It is a Sony Xperia T2, the kernel is from 2014, it shows me that all newest updates are already installed. Most wallet apps don't work, some do.

In WallETH I have to install Rinkeby manually, Chain ID=4, network ID=4, but for RPC Endpoint I have to enter a URL. The suggested URLs on the web require a personal (?) infura key, but I want to have an app with an easy installation process for everyone.
I can receive no tokens / transactions so far.
The similar looking Q wallet doesn't receive tokens either, when rinkeby is pre-set (no settings visible for that).

I think you can use
- Trustwallet: is the official wallet of Binance. Trust Wallet is a decentralized mobile wallet with a clean interface and high security
- ImToken: ImToken currently has both versions for IOS and Android. I personally think this is a highly secure wallet.

I have no idea with the other wallets that you mentioned but if MEW isn't working on your mobile phone, use your phones browser for MEW but still be cautious about the possible fake MEWs that are existing on the web.

It's not advisable to use an unknown wallet so you should stick and try using MEW despite you have difficulty using it on your mobile. Don't you have desktop or laptop?

Well, actually, MEW may work on any mobile phone. What kind of android you are using right now? Every wallet may need higher tye of android to work well. n this case, you need to make a limit or minimum android type for sure.
But, if you need others that may work and available for Rinkeby, you may try TrustWallet or Jaxx. They are easy enough. I commonly use Trustwallet in my android and it works well.

Yes I would just need any wallet (new or imported) for Android that would work with Rinkeby ERC20 tokens.
MEW does not work on my phone at all.
Coinomi does not support Rinkeby (or please tell me how) and is centrally managed without you having your private keys.
Thanks so far but I am still searching for solutions...
Just try this https://status.im/
or use coinbase mobile wallet and i remember there was another thing that called cypher wallet  (im not sure about this but you can just search the review about that)
I just recommend status.im wallet as some people were able running through the rinkeby.

Hi

Is there a mobile wallet (light client with own private keys) that supports custom ERC 20 tokens, also in the Rinkeby test net?
Myetherwallet and Metamask don't work on my mobile.

In WallETH I have to enter Rinkeby manually, with an own Infura key for "RPC Endpoint". Are there other options that don't depend on a centralized key? and that are easily usable by people? We are planning a social coin here...

Thanks
MEW does work on android via MEW connect but not sure about the feature called Rinkeby. But even if it is not working on MEW connect you can create a wallet on desktop and import the same wallet to your mobile with the private keys.

What type of mobile are you using if I may ask? I think you should try coinomi wallet, I have seen somethings like RPC on the wallet and yes it support private keys importation too
