Coins don't Actually die..
They simply toil in unpopularity and occasionally get delisted.
Even if a coin gets delisted there is often people with the block chain saved etc
So it can actually be resurrected from the dead.
It does not take much to get them going again.
Hell many devs have deliberately let their coins die off simply so they can buy them dirt cheap
then parade them around again later hyping them up.. to dump them.. again.
