WOW no way ..i bet Heroin OD ..he always had a problem with that i heard.

I liked his STP work.. Core still kicks ass !

That was my first guess but apparently the police found cocaine in his room and he died of cardiac arrest (no doubt due to a weakened heart due to years of substance abuse). Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley and now Scott - three amazing voices from my childhood grunge days now all gone  Sad

Yup all were great !
Always been a big Layne fan too.. far too many musicians die on drugs Sad
Plenty more going way back too.. hopefully the kids see "Drugs are bad mmk ?"

Yeah coke will kill ya dead if ya have a heart condition that is for sure.
A lot of guys don't know you can easily drop dead smoking crack too.
It simply put paralyzes your lungs so at any time you can simply hit the ground dead on the spot.
Never mind the severe heart attack risks.. and Meth ? oh jeez  Roll Eyes

I say people stick to the Weed and leave it at that !

I am truly saddened by his passing. Just an amazing artist. I have been a huge fan since Core was released. This list is nice (as lists go). However, leaving the acoustic version of Plush off of this list is a serious mistake. Just a beautiful song. I don't know  I have played that song and sung it. RIP, Scott.

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/scott-weiland-dead-at-48-20151204

Scott Weiland, the lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver was found dead in his tour bus yesterday at the age of 48. I've been sad all day after hearing the news - I have so many fantastic memories of good times with his music playing in the background. He was truly a rock star.

RIP Scott and thank you for the wonderful music you gave to the world.
