I neve really liked ripple. It's something that can only really be used by banks. Therefore it's price can only go up when there was some news of a new bank using and so on.
What's the point of such an exclusive cryptocurrency?

There is no intelligent speculation. All the pumps in recent times have been nothing but empty hype.

Nothing wrong with that as long as you're making money out of it.

Xrp is even less of a currency/investment that ether. Ride it and dump it.

That is right. If you have the XRP, it is better to dump it.

If it's already been pumped up and people are talking about it on bitcointalk, then that's a sure sign that you missed the boat already.   But go ahead and try it.  You might luck out,  though I don't think ripple has anything going for it that other altcoins don't.

The article states "US$55 million from banks and major financial establishments" and therefore, Ripple is becoming more widely acceptable and the basis for the surge. Ofcourse when there is a good news more people will buy and the price rise.

Which is the right place for intelligent speculation ?

@pisceanuk. If you are into intelligent speculation then you would know that link you posted is now useless because that is already priced in with the current value of XRP. Also look at how it has risen, European Central Bank is right. There is nothing intelligent about it, it is a clear pump plus some panic buyers who are afraid to be left behind.

Secondly if you want real intelligent speculation then this is not the right place for it.

That news could make the people buy or it could not. What I am saying is that the news could already be priced in with the value of XPR. Or maybe the news will not really matter. We have seen them announce a lot of things from series A funding to partnerships with banks and still the price of XRP went down.

For intelligent discussions I cannot suggest anything. But this place is surely not good for it.

I hope you guys noticed that Ripple price has gone up from £4.72 for 1000 ripples, which was 2 days back, to £6.58.

It may be because of this development - http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/ripple-price-up-33-raises-55-million-from-banks/

Do you guys think it will further go up ? I bought it again at £6.95 yesterday night but it seems to have gone down a bit today.

I am into intelligent speculation based on market information but don't want to buy anything just because of some hype.
