Don't you guys think these news aren't true?
I have been reading all those news about XRP and testing of that Xrapid they were mentioning for months but none of it even lift up the price but instead pull down. Lately I have read a post about the conspiracy about all these news that are coming out while the big guys in the industry are dumping what they got.

many companies are presumably going to use the coins for their own purposes, it is a pity that before real use takes a very long time

Technology of Ripple attract a lot of big corporations among of which are AliExpress, Bank of America, American Express and others. In case if they can not introduce this technology in theirs businesses corporations will be forced to use Ripple.

I think you slightly misunderstood the news. They are talking about possibly integrating the technology (or parts of it) behind Ripple into their systems, not using the ripple coin for their activities. That's a big difference.
A lot of other banking related companies are testing out this tech but not using the coin directly.

According to Ethereumworldnews, Ripple's current chief technology officer Stefan Thomas said in an interview that American Express has agreed to use Ripple's platform to handle a large number of transactions. He revealed that some large companies are testing Ripple's platform, but did not give a specific company name. It is speculated that American Express may already be testing.
