Nem only spends $ 31,153 on security, Bitcoin over $ 5,000,000
Security is in the hands of about 700+ supernodes.
From pure technical viewpoint one entity could control all supernodes
supernode /= person

Both of them are coins with too high walls. Ripple is overpriced.

Nem doesn't involve mining and there wasn't a premine. Why would nem need to be decentralized when there are already coins offering this, one being bitcoin.

The only coins that are going to survive are those which fix real life issues. Nem is one of them and I've invested it and hope to see rewards in 3+ years.

I don't believe in ripple as much.

I already posted this somewhere else on this forum but:

Quote
I don't understand the logic of people saying there is an important supply.

Current price is $0.16 with 38B circulating supply.

Would you prefer a price of:
$1.6 with 3.8B circulating supply

or a price of
$16 with 380 million circulating supply

or a price of
$160 with 38 million circulating supply

Because in all cases that's exactly the same.

Don't forget there is a fixed number of XRP that were created at Ripple's inception and no more allowed to be created by protocol's rules. Also XRP is deflationary (small amount of XRP gets destroyed with each transaction).

it is very weird to me why  these coins  ( ripple and  NEM) are too cheap  despite the high volume of market and rank in the crypo market

I wonder if you know when the price will go to moon ?

Expect these two great coins to be climbing to some top spots. Just wait and hold. They are cheap because they are still relatively young. The moon is theirs to reach. I am counting on it. I am also holding mine.  Cool

Why do you think it's cheap ? Because they are worth less than 1$ ?

To me, they are very expensive and I will never invest a dime in them. Here is why:

- High number of coins & inflation : 100 billions for XRP, 9 billions for NEM
- Premine, centralized currencies: There are a few large holders controlling the coin
- Low trading volume: Today the combined market cap is 8.8 bln with a traded volume of 58 millions, so less than 1% of marketcap! It shows that the coin is not liquid at all.
- Questionable future. Ripple as a company has a great future, the XRP coin doesn't as no Ripple clients will use them. Same for NEM, I doubt it will become a widespread currency due to its centralization.

Always favour:
- decentralized currencies
- POW over POS
- Coins with limited inflation
- Solid ecosystem

That's why you could consider BTC, ETH, LTC, MONA, ZEC, XMR... these are solid coins.
