Bah, Ripple is mostly about press and pseudo-news. It is not going to overtake bitcoin nor any other real crypto for that matter in India nor anywhere else.
Indeed when it comes to the technical aspects of both the cryptocurrencies Ripple (XRP) is much faster than Bitcoin. XRP is capable of handling 1,500 transactions per second and can settle the payment is approximately 3-4 seconds which is pretty faster than Bitcoin. Also, the minimum cost required by the network to settle a transaction is barely 0.00001 XRP.

That's for sure, Ripple Pasi able to make transactions quickly because Ripple in be directed for a small transaction, different from Bitcoin. Bitcoin is used for large transactions, then bitcoin users to much than with RIpple that allows a transaction to obstruct.
I do not think it's right to mention that Ripple can overtake Bitcoin and I think that's impossible.
