People discuss about coins because they can learn something from them. Ripple is rarely discussed, in my opinion, because the Altcoin (Ripple) cannot give what people desire, thus they are more interested in other Altcoins that experience a market increase or surprise.

Not impressed about XRP I won't lie but I knew the project is no joke, it looks like a 50/50 situation when SEC was on XRP but I will like to remind you that it's not over, if you think it's over you are wrong, the issue with XRP is because it's centralised project if not it would be more interesting for the project right now

So why is no one talking about ripple anymore? On this thread weeks back there are many posts about ripple going to its death bed soon because of SEC lawsuits and now everything is just silent, you guys have accepted your defeat or what? Cos ripple is now a winner

Everything's have been settled. It does not mean that Ripple was right and SEC was wrong. It just that you can buy anything with money and XRP have enough money to settle down everything.

Blessed are those who stood strong with ripple when the war was still very hot, I created a topic about this back then stating that ripple isn't a small centralised project and I was positive that they will win, months back ripple turn 1$ and counting, I watched my friends portfolio in good healthy ROI lol, while everyone was shouting it's over for XRP

So why is no one talking about ripple anymore?
It doesn't matter if waves is dubbed as a stepdaughter - at that time there weren't as many altcoins as they are now - the 2016 era - waves - one of the most popular coins among investors, As time goes by, the market is constantly changing-one company has created 2-5 Altcoins, Waves has been turned into a stepdaughter.

However-waves-still belongs to the big family, most likely continues to grow in the market.
What are you even saying? What business does waves have with ripple? The question is mainly about the SEC war on ripple and you are talking about waves, as a centralised project ripple is way better than waves, in top 20 on coinmarketcap ripple is the only centralised project that works

Glad that Ripple is doing fine now, there's a huge pump this week and it will continue to pump now because they are winning but we still have to be careful we all know SEC will not stop and will continue to bother them, a lot of my friends are into Ripple happy for their profit, but I still don't like centralization which Ripple is the frontrunner.

The development of the case seems to be favorable on Ripple, but there's no official decision yet, so people are still doubtful regarding Ripple. However, if you as an investor believe that soon they'll win the case, accumulating Ripple now is a good decision as it's not the ATH yet and you can see signs that investors are starting to put their confidence back in Ripple.

I can't remember if there is an argument if Ripple becomes dead or not. What I've heard is just only pure speculation which is relatively not sure of anything. Too good to see that XRP (Ripple) stood still strong despite the lawsuit issue but never say they are already in the win, unless if their case has been dismissed already. For now, I'm seeing strong support for it but never in my mind to invest this project for a long-term deal, I'm still choosing BTC and BNB, instead.
Even though ripple is still at the top of coinmarketcap, I'm also not that impressed with ripple, especially with the problems that have existed so far. I personally, for the long term, really idolize bnb which have real products and are needed by many people so that they have the opportunity to fly higher, moreover there is no negative news about them so far

what winner are you saying? Actually small improvement isn't enough proofs that there's a possibility it can survive mate.,  i mean you should check the history itself to make sure it's still optimistic despite of the situation. To be honest when i check xrp through cmc there's still no improvement and cant even makes new ATH after it plunges. And i saw different ripple crypto currency in the market and i don't know if it has the same team behind wherein they're bleeding as hell as well.. I can't tell if you should keep trusting these kind of management if it's true that they all have the same team behind..

It's because there's no hype on Ripple on the last couple of days or months.

But when we finally hear the verdict, whether on their favour or not, for sure it will hug the limelight again and maybe this is what we are all waiting for.

There is no loser or winner here, I'm sure you know that crypto is full of pump and dump and manipulations. If you are a Ripple fanboy then good for you specially if they win against SEC. But what if they lose? just asking. Are you still going to support it?

I don't know what defeat you are talking about, we have most of the altcoins rose from $0.001 to a dollar or less than it and at the same time the Ripple was between 0.3 to 0.1 and therefore did not provide an ideal level.
The Ripple network is centralized and many altcoins have very low fees, so there is no unique advantage that Ripple can offer today.
The only good point is that it is still amongst the top currencies in terms of market capacity which is a very misleading metric.

The value of XRP/USD has been very volatile since 2017. My Ripple price prediction for 2025 sees the coin trading between $1.15 and $8. By the year 2030 Ripple could be valued between $6 and $15. These forecasts are based on market sentiment and the utilitarian capabilities of Ripple via its XRP coin.
The XRP/USD coin’s primary use is making the clearing of funds easier for financial institutions and businesses associated with them. XRP/USD not a 'standard' cryptocurrency like many of its major counterparts, the distributed ledger from Ripple is internal. Ripple Labs coding is ‘open source’, but XRP/USD uses a centralized system in which Ripple controls the allocation of the XRT coins, sometimes to the dismay of its skeptics.
The fact that XRP/USD is centralized has become not only a ‘concern’ for many cryptocurrency influencers, but has also created a legal argument with the SEC. The Security Exchange Commission has in essence declared they believe the XRT coin is a ‘secured asset’, which would mean it has legal oversight domain. An official lawsuit was initiated by the SEC in December of 2020 against Ripple Labs and some of its executives. A contested fight within the U.S court system is anticipated.

the conclusion I can draw is that it is all part of a reminder when you want to invest in crypto. we should have researched first and don't regret what has happened.

Surprisingly, XRP bounces back and now it surpasses the $1 mark. I, myself, is also hesitant touching XRP to hold long term. I think they are still vulnerable in the market. Maybe, I will be confident holding it if their case with SEC will be totally closed. But right now, just using this as a transfer coin as it has cheaper fee and quite fast.

And just read this article - https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/08/11/why-xrp-is-soaring-again-today/. To check the reason why XRP is getting good boost -

"Yesterday, despite the presiding judge's insistence, the SEC refused to hand over evidence discovery documents to Ripple's defense team." So I guess, it is like a win of the XRP defense team as they are requesting those documents for them to review also. Unfortunately, SEC doesn't want to cooperate.

It's a winner for you because it's pumping a bit recently but to those that are believing that the lawsuit players a vital role in its future, it won't the minds until it's already clear. The thing about the lawsuit is that it had delayed the pump, unlike the other coins that have been pumping together ever since the bull run has acted. Well, for those people who have kept their XRP, AFAIK, the lowest that it made was $0.3 so if you guys bought at that price and you've held until now at $1.03 then congratulations to all of you.

Well, Bitcointalk forum is a free forum that's why everyone can voice out their opinion, and we all know that many people here are against the proliferation of the centralized cryptocurrency platforms and because Ripple is a centralized company it was the main subject of that rant and negative opinion particularly from the Bitcoin fans and it is just normal in this industry. let Ripple prove the worth of its coin base on value and not on personal opinion.

To be sincere many people didn't expect Ripple to still stand till date, if my memory serves me correctly, I think some exchanges like Coinbase delisted the coin thus making more people to have the affirmation that Ripple will be abandoned. However, what I have learnt from the Ripple issue with SEC is that, most big projects hardly die, whatever issues they have will only slow them down but won't totally take them out of the picture, this is just the case with Ripple. Also remember, many lawsuits has been filed against Tether but yet till today they are still working could be they have found a way to settle the issues I don't know, but one thing is certain, and that is big projects like Ripple and Tether have what it takes to maintain their stand, but same can't be said of other projects.
Ripple market cap is already huge so it would be tough to be killed and recently the price is gradually going up, and if the market maintains its momentum, the price might keep going higher and with more fomo it pumps better.

Last thing I remember is about the SEC after that I think they managed to win the case and I don't think they're still standing right up until now and doing better It's around $1 now, before it was $0.5 I think about the SEC case in coinmarketcap it's in 6 position I think before it was on the 3rd?

Maybe we will have to wait until XRP hits the 1 2 3 4 5... then we will see its strength. As early as the season we saw a lot of FUDs negatively affecting the project, but so far we are still standing and showing a comeback. IMO, XRP will finish at $3 in 2021.

rxp has been bad lately due to a lot of negative news
that hit them. many people also start to doubt this coin if they lose when
court demands. apart from that rxp is a good project and has a big market cap, they are in the top 5 with a market cap
biggest under btc, eth and bnb. I think they will win the lawsuit.
negative news only temporarily affects the price of rxp, because xrp has a good project
and very good fundamentals.
let's see now how xrp start to bounce back and get back to their fair price. if the xrp is weak, they may have disappeared when the negative news hit.
