So that's why Ripple is growing! American Express is a very old company, so I guess it's strong if it lived through all the times. Interesting, though, that ripple is traded to krw mostly, not to dollar. I guess Koreans take more care on what will happen with ripple in USA than Americans. With such big news ripple could go very high, right? 2x, 3x? What do you think? 5x is too much to be reached in a short period of time IMO. I'll buy some ripple straightaway. I saw that today. I do not at all like Ripple, but still I could only congratulate people who believe in this shitty coin that has achieved great things. Even though I have to confess I am now a bit jealous of Ripple, it will bring more credibility to all the crypto-currencies.

Ripple is one of the few coins that really does something. $1 is not a dream.
Very nice day for ripple investors. I know lot of friends invest to ripple waiting hopelessly for pumps. They now got what they wanted. Looks like Ripple will be great coin in 2 years.
The good thing when ripple group up and used by amex is the price will be more stable. No body want to use it if ripple still very volatile. The bad thing ia for trader who want to make big gain. It will never goes up very high again. I am pretty sure there will be price stabilizer for this.
This is a welcoming news indeed for Ripple. Its jumping to almost 10% now but I doubt that it can touch 1$ for now. Though its still early so see what's gonna happened, if safe to say that it can tops at 0.5 - .75$.

So the pump prediction was kinda real? The rumors of ripple rising aren't fake, and this news is going to benefit a lot of users, great. I'm glad that I invested in XRP at the right time. Ripple I feel is very underrated for its popularity, it's market cap is huuge which makes the demand for it less unfortunately in the long run, the price nearing to 1$, is kind of a difficult task for ripple. Oh so this must be the reason why Ripple pumped recently. Great news for Ripple by the way if they are teaming up with American Express, I think a lot will then use Amex to purchase coins such as Ripple and the like for trading. I did have Ripple a few months back but I already sold all of them and couldn't wait for the pump, too bad for me.
It doesn't necessarily mean that they will use XRP though?

Either way, the exposure is good and may be indicative of what other companies could do. It certainly doesn't hurt and might be worth a small pump anyway.

They have claimed that, their source code is open, that doesn't necessarily exonerate them from being a central bank with a private source code, you need fast lightening transactions with low fees? It means two things, 1: XRP is like fiat currency and 2: XRP transactions can be reversed-otherwise Amex would not do that because CC transactions can definitely be reversed/backcharged

I guess this must be good news for American investors but I have never seen an American Express sign or even ad in my country. I understand from media and from past people that it used to be accepted in a lot of places even here in Asia, but its time has come to pass. Maybe this is one of the way the company is trying to revive the fortunes. I know a lot of old companies are looking for some answer to the future, and blokchain seems to be the accessible answer. But for now, if Waves did not rise when Burger King used it, will Ripple rise when it is used by Amex?

Oh this one is the real reason behind 25%+ pump today but hype over this is already over and I am actually expecting some correction. Ripple is quite hard to predict last time it has pumped like crazy one of my friend made over 20x within few days.
