well, did u try https://edge.app/ . my mentor using that wallet for the android. but yes, its like all in one. not just XRP but all popular coins can be safe on edge wallet.
its nothing different with coinomi wallet. or u just use coinomi because as i see, XRP is added on coinomi. and also u have a full control of your wallet.

Ripple is the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Its fast money transfer network makes it one of the most popular cryptocurrencies.

It is wise to choose the most secure Ripple wallets, which can store your money safely. Many Ripple (XRP) wallets may need a balance of certain XRPs (like 20 XRPs) to activate your Ripple address.

There are many Ripple wallets but it is important to choose the best wallet. According to the latest ripple wallets comparison 2019, the top ripple wallets are Ledger Nano S, Toast, Guarda, GateHub, Cryptonator, Edge wallet, CoinPayments, Exarpy and Ripple Paper wallet.

Yes, Toast Wallet is an open source cryptocurrency wallet for the Ripple payment system. The updates are always seen on the Toast Wallet with many new enhancements to the platform!

Online wallets and android wallets are not secured too,if the developers get your private keys and you are done the safest place to put your coins is to have a hardwallet like ledger nano s.

My opinion is, always the wallets proposed byt he developers of the coin. I believe this is the right way to avoin scam wallet programs, when a wallet is proposed by the coins web-page it is usualy tryed before.
So every time you are searching for a wallet, read first the official webpage.

is it possible to recover ripple account created in 2014 ? i have address and priv.key ...
in 2014 i got some xrp for BOINC programm, but https://xrpcharts.ripple.com/ says "account not found"

Normally if you still have your public/private key pair it should work. I was part of an initial bounty program and I was able to recover
Also you can try here depending on what info you still have:

You could also use Kraken, Bittrex or an exchange as wallet (not recommended, but easier to setup). But I think Gatehub is the best if you need an XRP wallet.

I didn't see XRP listed as a coin on that ledgerwallet link.. does it support it? Wondering because I have a trezor too but I don't think it yet supports XRP. Might have to get the ledger to store XRP if trezor cannot.

Yes the Ledger Wallet supports XRP - https://www.ledgerwallet.com/apps/ripple

yes Ripple is not minable, there are Windows wallets (see links above) or you can use gatehub.net for convenience.

The official wallet (cold wallet) is not supported anymore by Ripple but community still improve it (try Rippex wallet). You can also generate offline an address / secret key pair. There are some Android wallets
https://www.xrpchat.com/links/
https://github.com/whotooktwarden/generateSecretOffline
https://ripply.eu/

Cold wallet is the safest way to store a large amount of coin imo (better than an Android wallet..)

I don't know if I'm right with my information, isn't Ripple is non minable? I don't know if there is a windows wallet does ripple has. not so sure about it. But I'll try to download this one.

well, there are a lot of topics covering this subject on Reddit.
As long as you have your secret key you are fine. You can import your secret key in Gatehub, desktop wallet, minimalist Ripple client...

If you forgot your secret key, I think you can still migrate (but are you migrating from original old client or newer rippletrade.com) you can migrate with your original Rippletrade login/password on Gatehub but you will need to kyc.
