This again gives a good reason to all Ripple haters for keeping their feeling for Ripple unaltered. I am not really surprised by this news, nor should you.

This is why so many people here are against Ripple. There are better coins that are decentralized and get the job done better.
Decentralized it's not about ripple. Do you read their whitepaper? That coin designed for the corporate environment with main center.

That's why ripple can be considered as centralized thing right now. The developer of ripple is only interested to take the advantage for their own company. They don't even care about what will be happening in the future. They are only interesting to earn more and more money rather than thinking the environtment of the crypto after strict regulation.

Ripple as a game changer of cryptoworld position themselves to be a pro-business cryptocurrency and many serious investors, governments and big companies are put in favor of ripple vs the dominant bitcoin thus to ensure that the crypto-related investments via ripple are well protected unlike any other decentralized-based cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, ethereum and ICOs where risk management are at high stake.

I am not surprised by statement like that coming from Ripple.
I am also supporter of the idea for some regulations, but I don't think that, whatever Ripples management will have in mind, will be good for crypto in general.

That's interesting. Ripple is very much a centralized style coin so their perspective makes sense. But this goes against most of what crypto stands for, so it's gonna be interesting to see how things will progress

Well ripple was made to be centralized and to be the business for their owners. Of course that for them it makes perfect sense. Anyway for crypto to be in that place where we all want it to be a lot has to pass. Some people are still not interested into crypto because with it comes responsibility if you lose your coins, on top of that you will have to learn about wallets etc. Rippe simple saw an opportunity there because people are using banks, and they are going to use them in the future. Although with technologies such as hyperledger (which is opensource) maybe ripple won't be used much from companies -- it will decently be interesting to see in what direction will this situation develop in the future.
