try plugging one riser and card into the 1st pci slot.(the one nearest the cpu) once you have that working the nshut down and install another riser and card into the next slot and so on. if your using claymores miner then use amd drivers 15.12.

my guess would be MSI. you have to change the board to another brand. to asrock or asus or gigabyte
I've seen something like this here on the forum, and that was not about the risers or gpu cards. it was about the mainboard produced by MSI.
they broke something in bios I guess..
so if you wanna to build the rig, change the mainboard

Same problem here. 007s risers and MSI Z270-A PRO.

Connecting GPUs to the PCIx16 and PCIx16 working as x4 is working fine, but when I use a riser no GPU is detected. I've tried with 5 different risers and 3 different GPus and none of them are working... u_U

The PSU is working fine.

Updated bios without results.

Thank you for your answer, I can't be able to test psu. It's 750W gold, high power. I am using seperate cables for each riser and gpu. But I don't know, if psu cuts power.

(I've managed to test psu, It's not the problem. It turns out, that my motherboard does not activate 1x slots as GPU when second PCI-E 16x slot has nothing installed with full size. (1x risers does not enough for it) I tried to install one gpu direclty to second large 16x slot, and all other risers started to work. Strange, isn't it? Perhaps my motherboard's second 16x slot does not contact well to 1x risers, I don't know.)

Looks like an energy supply problem. Plug each GPU on their own PSU-cabel and the same for the powered Risers.

Hello to all,

Sorry to bother you but, I am working for 3 days straight but I couldn't make it work.

I searched and applied everything about this problem on forums and posts but they all didn't fix my problem.

Here's my problem:

I got MSI Z270-A PRO motherboard. 6 pci-ex, all active.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z270-A-PRO.html#productSpecification-section

I got 10 of Ver: 007 risers from china

I got 2x HIGH POWER 750W GOLD psu

I'm using SAPPHIRE R280X 's. (I got 6 of them, but I can't make them work on risers.)

I've upraded my bios to latest official version.

When I plug 2 gpus directly to pci-express slots, they just working.

But, when I plug two of the cards on risers, then just primary one works (which is on pcie0) but all others does not shown in OS. I tried both ubuntu and win10 with drivers installed.

When I plug 3 gpus with risers, windows only display 2 of them. And when mining it sometimes freezes.

I tried to set pcie speed to 1,2,3 and cryptomining enabled/disabled. Nothing worked.

I couldn't plug more than 3 gpus.
(I can only run 3 gpu with, plugging first gpu with riser into peg0, and installing one gpu directly to second large pciex slot. Then other pcie slots gets activated. And other risers works.)

Each riser works when I just plug with only 1 gpu to pcie0.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you all already.
