Do you really think that there would be someone who would have the time on watching a 1hr+ youtube video just to listen out on what's risk management in crypto is all about?

I havent watched the whole thing but just seeing the few seconds where 5 people are just having some video-conference which isnt really that appealing at all.

It would be just better if you do just highlight or giving out the keywords on this thread but in talks of risk management then it do mostly cover up common sense thing.
There are other ways to make it short though but I don't think OP/the owner of the video have the time to cut and edit each segment then put the title/topic each episode. Yeah, they were right, risk management is not that easy to explain in a couple of minutes depending on their perspective about it.

It may be boring but if you are dedicated to learn then why not? Although, internet is always available and free of information that we wanted so it's just the choice of the person.
Carlfebz2 actually got a point and you do have a point too. Learning in the process will just vary on each person because not all do have that same laziness in mind when it comes to sort of things. Some might find it boring
and some might see it beneficial for them.It all matters if you do have enough time to spent on researching but if not then you would find this video to be just a waste of time. There are lots of resources online
some might give out some gold information and some are just garbage thats why it do really need some sort of understanding on whats the content.
I don't know if someone notice this but I think the difference of reading and listening to someone talking is almost just the same. Come to think about it, someone read this and that but after some trial and error they do seek someone with great knowledge to ask help then that person will talk to him. Isn't it ironic? Although, I agree that some doesn't have the same capabilities to adapt just by looking, reading and listening, everyone has their own unique ideas and understanding.

I don't have the time to watch other people talk about risk management because everyone will have different management methods and if you have stayed in the market for a long time, you will definitely know what to do next. In addition, in investing or trading, you need to have a strategy and consider carefully before deciding to do something. I always manage risks, but sometimes things are not as easy as I am

Learning something is not as easy as just watch a video and know! The Internet nowadays creates a great chance for people who willing to learn something. There are plenty of sources that can teach you exactly what you wanna learn!
I believe watching videos of study materials must be more effective than learning from books. I mean you will not get tired just by watching videos rather than reading some books. I'm not sure about most other people but I am just talking what I am experiencing learning from videos compared to learning from books. I agree learning something is not easier but videos are definitely helping to learn some new things in easier manner.

Back to the topic, risk management must be an essential part of successful trading and at the same time it will not be easier to get practice to it in our daily trading unless otherwise we are consciously implementing it in our decisions. Always expecting hitting stop loss and making my order size according to affordable stop-loss is one of the practice I do in my trading as part of risk management.

Agree! If you can recognize the importance of risk management. Then why you hesitate to seek for information about it? Learning something is not as easy as just watch a video and know! So I hope after you watch the video from Youtube, you can apply the lesson in the trading so you can have more experience from the video. Usually, many people, after watching the video will not apply to what they got, but they will skip the lesson, and they will watch the other video which can make them confuse with the lesson.

I hope you don't do that because if you do that, you will not get the point of the video and if you apply that in the trading, you will still confuse. I agree that we can search for many things from the internet, and we can choose to use it or leave it.

I open the youtube video and there are 5 people talking out there and I think that was through a zoom app. I didn't finish the video because I know that that isn't interest and it probably took 1 hour plus if I continue watching the video. I agree that it would be better if OP summarizes all their statement and make a better view here to easily cope up with others who wanted to read not to watch the video.
By checking the rest of the video, the 5 people just keep talking and none of them did presented any link or graphic design to explain what he says. It's boring!
And this is how i conclude that op is maybe just promoting the Youtube channel who share the video. it's also called "Iconic Holding" .
Risk management is a hot topic in crypto field but i think it wasn't well presented in a video content based on a zoom app conversation. Better to resume the video in one article and  just add it to the video description in case someone want to check details .

That's one of the most problem when creating a video presentation the user does not too much entertain and too much talk which is not appropriate and does not bring too much fun and excitement to the viewers to learn more instead they will close the tab and find some video that is short and more have context and educational.
The video doesn't need to be shorter or has more content. Opened discussions can be made by well experienced uesers, so it's obvious that those who can enjoy listening to it are well experienced users as well. To make things easy, we still need digital graphics and designs to express a clear view point in a video presentation.

I would be the one who watches that video. Learning things in today's world is too easy that people are getting lazy. The Internet gives us all we need without putting effort to search for it. If watching a 1hr+ youtube video can help me reduce the risk and increase the chance of earning profits, I would watch it. I definitely did watch some of them, most of my knowledge and information about this cryptocurrency world was gained by watching videos and reading articles. The important thing is that you have to choose what to watch!

I can fully agree with that. People are getting more and more lazy and because of internet they expect everything to be served to.them without much efforts. No need to big and long term research trying to.collect information. And at the end they are still unhappy.
However, risk management is very important and not only in cryptocurrencies but in.everything in your life. The good thing today they are easier ways to learn about that, like videos and articles, besides the experiences on your own skin. But despite that many crypto users still don't know anything or much about risk and how to manage it.

I am seeing suddenly lots of topics are here on risk management while trading crypto and this time with a long video Wink. I always prefer to have a video tutorial for all my knowledge gaining but it needs to be briefly explaining what exactly it means for. Honestly I'm living in the hectic life but need to update myself according to the latest demands on crypto world as well as in trading world but lengthy things are not my cup of tea in most of the times. I am sorry I just gone for quick view on your video.

Risk management is not something new for me because I am into trading for last 15 years. At the same time I am not a completely successful trader with active trading which means I still need to fine tune all my trading related skills. So, I request you to keep posting similar things but in more time effective manner. Thanks in advance.

Even you could watch all of those videos in one-hour still in trading there is a risk and at the end of the day, the last chance or decision to save or win your money is depends in you so better to make your own experience into the world of trying instead of having time to watch those long videos it is like an investment to earn and learn those mistakes can be used to save your future trades and your self too we want to avoid getting too much waste of time to earn knowledge. I'm not a beginner trader and I'm not a professional trade but I gained all of my experience came from the traded and mistake which is a good thing because I know now how to handle the risk and not get too much greedy to all of my investment and now it is more easiest to handle the risk-on trading.

I open the youtube video and there are 5 people talking out there and I think that was through a zoom app. I didn't finish the video because I know that that isn't interest and it probably took 1 hour plus if I continue watching the video. It's pretty a good idea if you posted some overview of some tips on how to do some risk management plan a d then introduced video links afterwards. Some are not interested on watching videos like that, but some are willing to read interesting contents. But if it is for the new strategies, new methods about risk management plan, why not give a try to watch?
I tend to agree.

There are too many online blogs that content risk managing and I prefer to search on google and read than watching a boring video. Probably others willing to waste their time watching more than an hour into that video.

If you recommend something and your rank is good enough to consider then I too will not be having any hesitation on studying/watching something that got the potential to transform something in rest of my life. But, if you start listening to random people, I am afraid your life cannot be enough to cover them all.

Filtering the noises out is key here. Because, in most cases, people who are recommending something are paid shills and/or doing them for affiliate reasons.

It would be just better if you do just highlight or giving out the keywords on this thread but in talks of risk management then it do mostly cover up common sense thing.

When people are posting video links for the reason driving out big traffic from this forum, how can we expect them to provide keynotes out of those videos.. Roll Eyes. There is a continuous demand on regulating clickbait links until then we need to get practiced to live around them.

Reading and watching trading materials and videos without taking the risk of trading amounts to putting the cart ahead the horse. Grin

Risk management can also be related to Stop loss to some extents, atleast to my understanding.'
But even at that, stop loss is not the best scenario because sometimes, the market falls beyond the sl.

Just do the best of your knowledge to manage your losses as a trader.

SL really won't help a trader because a bad trader would always see the trade hitting stop loss and not take profit. So the best management is to reduce the risk to take.

I don't have the slightest idea of who these people are besides the one dude being affiliated with BlockFi, but hey 1hr+ long videos aren't necessarily bad. Risk management is a quite important topic and that it definitely could be quite complex(depending on their scope) especially for beginners that I don't think it could be fully explained in just a few minutes.

Also not to mention that 1hr+ long videos are most definitely a lot more detailed. It's like reading a book vs reading a book summary.
