Personally, I cannot completely trust in the disinterestedness of the words spoken by Kiyosaki.
His reputation has too many blank spots associated with certain types of fraud and the checks that he failed once.
He is definitely a good businessman, but he did not always follow the path of winning, winning, which casts doubt on me his motivation to say such words.

Bitcoin is needless to say being talked about at numerous spots. lately I saw a video where the host propose bitcoin to be utilized as installment technique for this pandemic since Cash may be a medium to spread a greater amount of the Corona Virus. I saw individuals chatting on this gathering bitcoin need to be utilized instead of fiat to handle this pandemic and monetary shutdown. I do accept that we should always spare our bitcoins since no matter whether this pandemic is over without including bitcoin then I surmise financial specialists would really like to get bitcoin as an area of refuge venture.

We all believe in bitcoin, but still nothing happens.

You can say that. But did you take a look at how bitcoin price move this month? I guess that would be enough for us to try to make a profit although it's not much profit. I would say that is better than to see bitcoin price is down more and more because, with the up and down of the bitcoin price, we will have the opportunity to make a profit which we always want.

I guess he will not tell if he already bought bitcoin or not, and he will not tell how much the bitcoin he has to other people Wink

Just like Warren. I don't buy that he doesn't own Bitcoin at all. These people can easily manipulate BTC just like how they do with stocks and indices.
Not only that, those people are so rich that even if they do not believe in bitcoin they can get tens of thousands of coins and that will not affect their lifestyle or their other investments at all, so if I was them even if I did not believed in bitcoin it will be very easy to get those coins just in case I am wrong, if you were right and bitcoin crashes then you only lose a small amount of money, if the price goes up but not by much then you still got better profits than what you could get with other investments, but if bitcoin really skyrockets and everything goes down then even if you were to lose the rest of your fortune you will still be very powerful under this new reality, so it makes sense to get those coins as some sort of insurance.

I read his books 'Rich Dad's Guide to Investing', 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. As I'm aware it's not the first time when he calls for giving up savings in fiat in favor of gold or bitcoin.

Not only that, there are many people and businessmen who believe in Bitcoin. In my opinion, Tesla's CEO Elon Musk believes in Bitcoin and crypto money, but does not express it clearly. Even the most recent Bill Gates said he had changed his mind.
Unfortunately, we cannot reach a place with only these views. For us, larger-scale developments that will affect daily life

Hah! Bill Gates? You'll never hear him say "get Bitcoin". It's against his view of the world - we all know how much he wants to get control and power over literally anything possible.

I guess most businessmen don't agree with the idea of BTC being a real store of value because they're globalists and they want power, centralization etc.. I'd be pretty surprised if they change their public view over cryptocurrencies.
Bill Gate been talking about bitcoin on every news channel in 2014 2015 2016

He does talk about Bitcoin but in a negative way.

Ever since I've read Robert's book "Rich dad, Poor dad", it really changed my perspective on money. He probably see Bitcoin too as an asset rather than a liability just like he taught us in his book. Though he did got bankrupt in the past, he did got up again and it's good to see that he is influencing people to go for Bitcoin.

As bitcoin holder, I feel so good to read that post because as an expert, Robert Kiyosaki have been influencing many people now. Its really good to promote bitcoin. It will be wise for us to see other issue in this world that related to bitcoin so we can make a wise decision about investment. He suggest us to save more gold, silver and bitcoin but we should know when the correct time to buy these assets. In this situation, We should think about risk management too.

I don't know what's the problem of telling people that they are using or having Bitcoin? will this lowered their popularity?

Nah, just the old school mindset of investors; digital money is scam unlike forex and stocks because there's nothing backing them.

But these people are "smart" by using such sentiments to silently manipulate the market when people least expected them.

Then there's Jamie Dimon, the CEO of Chase bank. Previously he lambasted Bitcoin, calling it a fraud. Now look who's talking.
Some of them will condemn the crypto calling it a scam but I am not going to be surprised if many of them even hodl millions worth of dollars in bitcoin. To them, it is a mind game that is being played to distract people from crypto. Maybe they are also thinking it will be a threat to their businesses. Nobody could have thought Mark will even think of creating Libra.

Bitcoin is indeed being spoken of at many places. Lately I saw a video where the host propose bitcoin to be used as payment method for this pandemic since Cash is a medium to spread more of the Corona Virus.
and we all knew this right, because the Virus stays longer in metal or even in papers so Fiat is really one danger thing to ne infected by this virus.
I saw people talking on this forum that bitcoin should be used instead of fiat to tackle the current pandemic and economic shutdown. I do believe that we should save our bitcoins since even if this pandemic is over without involving bitcoin then I guess investors would prefer to buy bitcoin as a safe haven investment.
lol Bitcoin is created to use and not to be stored so why would you keep your Bitcoin when the Virus can infect you to die?meaning you can risk your life than your bitcoin?

Of course this Boosted Bitcoin Supporter(like me) because we need more like this a word from popular and successful people promoting the use of Bitcoin.
though this man is not known for being Bitcoiner yet he speaks good for the community.
I guess he will not tell if he already bought bitcoin or not, and he will not tell how much the bitcoin he has to other people Wink

It doesn’t really matter what public figures think, bitcoin is decentralized & is beginning to gain more & more users as we edge towards mainstream adoption. Obviously if public figures speak positively about bitcoin it’s not a bad thing.

It really matters what the public persons say. They are true influencers and people are aware of such personalities that have contributed to a better society in which we live. Whether or not Bill Gates supports the BTC, he certainly came up with arguments for his opinion. I personally support Bitcoin and hope that in the future it will be an alternative option for FIAT currencies.

I'm sure that many of the people here take him as their personal mentor through watching his videos or reading his best selling financial books. I've learned from him a lot when he said about real estate and I'm taking it seriously.

He has the best advice and motivating words for people that want to get out of the rat race. I've seen also people saying bad things about him, I just don't get it. If it's his opinion and say to stack bitcoin and other precious metals, that's not bad at all, that's even a good idea to diversify.

I guess he will not tell if he already bought bitcoin or not, and he will not tell how much the bitcoin he has to other people Wink

so I wonder why people believe the things they talk about bitcoin? are they not just taking advantage of bitcoin's popularity to appear on the news channels?
That is because many people believe in him and follow him as a teacher.

I know that people preserve their privacy, but if someone encourages other people to buy bitcoin, then that person who encourages other people should be the first person to set an example to show the amount of bitcoin they bought
Maybe he needs to be honest to his follower or his audience, and tell them about the bitcoin amount that he has.

I am not sure the place that we're aiming here, but as long as we can use it to send money to other people as well as invest into it, then I think we're already at our destination here in crypto. Maybe we're just looking at the price all these times, that's why we're still aiming for higher.
@Nadziratel, Elon Musk is crypto currency enthusiast long ago though he never show is stance about bitcoin but he clearly makes the public knew his affection about dogecoin when he publicly supported the coin.
@isaac_clarke22, i think the problem is that most of the billionaire and influencers people not coming out or not making their stance about cryptocurrency public because of the government's thoughts about crypto because Microsoft has been dealing with bitcoin more than 4years now.
They are part of the status quo and it is really difficult for those people that are powerful in the current system to completely support something that goes against the system itself, so even if many rich people believe bitcoin is a good idea with a good future they are not going to say it now, however we may see a huge change in that stance once it becomes clear that the current system is unsustainable and that it is not going to last that much longer.

It is not the first time R.Kiyosaki talked about bitcoin. I have his book "Second Chance - For Your Money, Your Life and Our World" he already talked about bitcoin years ago. In that period, he did not predict anything about bitcoin but he knew about it but did not have enough knowledge about it. Now, years passed and he maybe has better knowledge on bitcoin and has his belief on BTC rising. It is a short mention about bitcoin in that book but I still remember well. I will give you the page number of it later.

Bitcoin has achieved the attention it needed. It's not that people don't believe bitcoin is a good technology. But the reason why people still hesitate from investing bitcoin is it's conflict with the government and the regulations. It's not the same worldwide and it keeps on changing. They are waiting for a final answer about legality before jumping on.

Robert Kiyosaki understands why we should have investment in bitcoin, gold and silver because of the limited supply. He said to his twitter account that the dollar is dying because of the unlimited printing of money by the FED. I really do not understand why it became positive especially there is a crisis nowadays. Investing in bitcoin can helps us to beat inflation and to gain profit but there are factors that should be consider. We should not invest because someone said to do so, we should only make investment if we fully understand how it works and we are going to make money from it.

The monetary system is flawed because with a central they can control the value with quantitative easing and fractional reserve banking and stimulate the economy through buying corporate debts, bonds and treasure's with the money they print out of nothing.
This is not an ordinary recession, if the stock continues to dump it will lead to another great depression or far worse. So better stock up precious metals and Bitcoin like this guy suggest.

Yes thats correct. Such believes wont help BTC in reaching to mainstream payment
method. BTC adoption requires solving many of its problem like scalability, transaction fee
and regulatory issues. There are still very few real world use cases of bitcoin, people still
hold it as an asset of investment. We cant live our daily lives on btc unfortunatly.

I believe Robert T. Kiyosaki very much and I own him in high esteem. I hope most of his followers will see wisdom in his tweet and not slack as regards stalking some of their fund on bitcoin, this to me has a better ROI on gold and could be a faster way to beat inflation in  dying economy.

I already have 2 of those.
Gold and Bitcoin.  Grin

I don't like silver though. Maybe it is not just interesting in my eyes. Also, I have been also faked before by someone else and I don't want that to happen again.
I'll stick with bitcoin instead. I have enough gold in my stash.  Grin
Perhaps, if I could make more money with some of my altcoins then I might add more.

Many believe in the success of bitcoin, but bitcoin still can not realize its full potential
It is human that will make use of the crypto to realized its potential. Few months ago, nobody will think demand for common sanitary materials can go gaga to the extent that there is global shortage due to the crisis. The same thing can happen to crypto one day when people start depending so much in it to buy goods and services.

I've watched some of his videos on youtube channel and he said the word Bitcoin or crypto many times already.

Kiyosaki is a great investor (one of the best if not the best) and he is also great in real estate which is his forte. He believes that investments and business will make a poor people a rich one so he is advocating this and saying that save some valuable assets and hearing that he included Bitcoin is a great news already.

As years passes by, more and more people are using Bitcoin. More and more people knows Bitcoin whether it is a store of value or as an investment at least they know it. I'm not expecting other investors to do the same as him but.... never mind.

There are many of these businessman that actually love and embrace Bitcoin but you will not hear this from them because of not gaining control over the said technology. Bitcoin as the people money is not bowing down to anyone because is greater than anyone in this planet. Also, many of these businessman are afraid of what they have said time past and would rather go mute and get involve than opening get involve.

They have all noticed the large scale adoption on this Bitcoin and believed that; they have zero effect on the technology. For him to just mentioned gold and silver before Bitcoin means that, he's not truly opened to the technology.

And as for this Kiyosaki guy, his reputation in the world of financial advice doesn't look too good since, as Wikipedia mentions:
Quote

Kiyosaki's company filed for bankruptcy in 2012

That time, one of his companies was hit hard with Chapter 7 bankruptcy because of a lawsuit that he didn't want to fund with his pocket money. He has other companies he can do business under. When bankruptcy happens, shareholders and pretty much every other business and person involved with the company loses the money they put up in there. But bankruptcies never seize the part of people's wealth that was never invested in the business. That's why you see rich people like Kiyosaki still doing well financially despite the bankruptcy, since they never invested most of the money they personally have into it.

As for the employees, most of them don't have an ample amount of money to look for another job after losing their jobs and paychecks to bankruptcy, so they, and shareholders, and businesses lending it money (creditors) are actually the ones who get hurt by bankruptcies. Since he's rich, some people think his advice is still credible.

We're not that very sure where bitcoin could be picked one day but I guess these people know how bitcoin would be in the next few years of existence especially it slowly taking a spot in a payment method for a variety of companies, not just companies but a popular and well lit companies. Indeed bitcoin is way more than investment, a currency in fact that will changed the whole system, bitcoin cannot be just as static as  investment. Sooner or later we'll start to see bitcoin with more recognition from the big players.

That is the best part of bitcoin, I know that many people are impressed when a public figure endorses something but in the case of bitcoin that is unnecessary, just look at bitcoin and its characteristics and anyone that knows anything about the history of money will agree immediately that bitcoin is a good form of money to have, obviously since bitcoin is still relatively new its volatility is significant but as time passes and more people adopt it the volatility should go down and it will be easier for those that are risk adverse to hold their bitcoin.

Good that he mentioned Bitcoin but I am tired of people looking for celebrity or influencer's endorsement of Bitcoin. I do not  need anyone to tell me this is what Bitcoin is, I came across it in 2014 and took me 2 to 3 months of readings and research into it to be convinced this is real and thank God I made that decision. If the guy mentioned Ripple or even Bitcoinnet some people would go gaga and go and buy it because someone tweet or recommend it. Remember it is your money that is on the line.

So? That doesn't mean Bill Gates owns and/or believes in Bitcoin or other decentralized cryptocurrencies. His corporation even accepted for a short while BTC, but then ask yourself why did they stop accepting it..

It is not just only Robert who believe in Bitcoin. Other billionaires like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump and Tesla also believe and hold bitcoin but will pretend to the public that they don't own any. Good thing that Robert is.making his public. The truth however is that even if they do not believe in bitcoin it will not stop bitcoin from being the utility cryptocurrency that it is.
When it comes to this subject, I don't think it makes sense to compare Kyiosaki to Bill Gates or Warren Buffet. Buffet and Gates are all in for multinationals and centralization while Kiyosaki calls the USD a scam. Just from the thought that Kiyosaki believes in BTC you can understand that he likes the idea of you being your own boss instead of having a superior. Being in control instead of being enslaved to the system and so on.

Incomparable.

To add to the list is Jack dorsey (twitter ) and Mark Zukerberg (Facebook), the 2 top used social media platform in the globe. Jack promised to make some commitment to the space this year and made several tweets last year to support bitcoin, i feel the pandemics situation could limit it this year. Facebook also plan to launch its coin but there are more important situation in health that could suspend the decision of the government to approve it. Other branches of Microsoft are involve in cryptocurrency especially Microsoft Azure.

It doesn’t really matter what public figures think <...>
You underestimate the power those people have, especially if they're a businessman or are well-known person involved in something related to finances or economics.

Let's start with the obvious: the guy has over a million followers on twitter, that's a ton of people getting exposed to Bitcoin. The more people know about BTC, the better...isn't that right?

Then you have the psychological part. He's seen as a successful person (google search his name), and more often than not, the majority of people tend to see these kind of wealthy businessman and successful individuals that are well-positioned in the corporate ladder as authority (this is called "Authority bias"), which means that there's a high probability that people will be motivated to at least give it a shot or straight up buy bitcoin...

Even if a person thinks "meh..." after reading his tweet, Robert already did his job: he planted the seed (: and his timing was great, right when there's an economic fallout. We honestly should thank Mr. Kiyosaki for this tweet, too bad I don't use Twitter.

Anyone who can share a link that says Robert Kiyosaki actually invested in Bitcoin? I tried to search but all I read was all talk.

From this article https://cointelegraph.com/news/rich-dad-poor-dad-author-bitcoin-is-messing-into-the-feds-territory he says he's only interested but he's staying out of cryptocurrencies.

“Personally, I’m a technosaurus rex. I can barely use a cellphone. So I’d best stay out of cryptocurrencies. So if you’re a young person and you like crypto, it might be your place. Again, everything is ‘just do what you love.’ I love businesses, I love gold [...] I love using debt as money — because in 1971 the dollar became debt — and I love paying no taxes legally.”

We believe in Bitcoin even without Kiyosaki's words but his followers who never heard of about Bitcoin will doubt his statement. You know, talk is cheap.

Good thing that Robert is.making his public. The truth however is that even if they do not believe in bitcoin it will not stop bitcoin from being the utility cryptocurrency that it is.

Wow. I have not seen that name in perhaps 10 entire years. Seriously, I forgot the guy's even around still. Latest to bite the Bitcoin bug I see. And he's not even really late into it at all, given the discount prices Bitcoin's at these days. Not sure he'll actually make people go out and buy Bitcoin in this economy though.

Robert Kiyosaki has been "advocating" for bitcoin for a while already lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysFi-IWAARc
No doubt, though I know his name from his constant shilling of gold and/or silver, which he's been doing for years.  He's one of those permabulls when it comes to precious metals, and that stance never made sense to me.  To him it's always a good time to be buying metals, but if you'd followed his recommendations in 2011-2014 you'd still be underwater.

It's fine that he's bullish on bitcoin, but I'm still going to tune his opinions out.  It's obvious to me that his judgement is either poor or that he's telling the public one thing whilst doing something completely different (like selling gold/silver).

No problem if Robert Kiyosaki believes in bitcoin, and that is good. At least, he can influence his reader and his fan to believe in bitcoin too. If his follower follow what Robert says and they buy bitcoin at the market, that will help the adoption grow because many people read about the rich dad, poor dad. We can hope that the other celebrity out there will also do the same thing as Robert so bitcoin can get more adoption from people in each country. If the celebs can help spreads bitcoin, we can imagine how big the impact for bitcoin.

I always listen to my Rich dad as well and I’m sure he meant this one, save bitcoin so we can have a better life even if the market enters into a new recession. We can hear a lot of good advices from this guy and its worth to read almost all his books. Many influential person already made a good statement about bitcoin, the rise will still come for bitcoin because of this.

Is he some important person in the USA, because I personally have never heard of him? From what he wrote in a tweet, it's easy to conclude that he anticipates the breakdown of the US financial system, and advises investing in gold, silver and of course Bitcoin. But obviously it wants to limit itself to the USA, because there are countries that have much larger debt to GDP, for example Japan with 234.18% or Greece with 181.78% and regardless of such a large debt these countries have not yet declared bankruptcy.

All those who think that the United States is about to collapse are wrong, because they started planning their survival after WWII, and they are in a much better position than at first glance. This Robert is only want some free PR, and I don't think it will help BTC in any way.

Robert Kiyosaki is very influential in terms of the best advice, in fact, his philosophy is spectacular, I have had the opportunity to read his books and they are really valuable, if he says that it is a good opportunity for gold and Bitcoin, he is the best Financial advisor that you can give these days, although in his latest interviews he stated that Bitcoin is a great investment but that the technology has not been updated yet, investors should have Bitcoin in their portfolios.

Hah!

I don't know about this dude but Kiyosaki has been notorious for preaching some illegal or frowned-upon trading schemes and practices for a while now, and him making a voice for bitcoin doesn't seem to be fitting nor inviting for those who already know the man's reputation. Either way, it's still one voice to be heard out in the open, though I kinda wanna think that he speaks for the clout and recognition, but not really on advocating much for bitcoin (just like what McAfee did back in the day.)
You said you don't know him well but you have not share any of the notorious trading schemes he has promoted. His book rich dad poor dad is one of all time best selling finance book for entrepreneur. Think Mr kiyo personality can't be compared to Mcafee

That's the magic of BTCitcoin that builds trust. It's great that influential people like him join. Everything has been the product of our constancy. On Twitter, you can see many influencers and investors who support Bitcoin and crypto.

I still remember the first time I knew about Bitcoin and it was on Twitter and hardly Bitcoin had a price of ~ $500. It was a technology that I did not know and I did not pay attention to it. I won my first satoshis when the Bitcoin price was ~ $5000 in October 2017.

I think that is the author of Rice Dad , Poor Dad. Is being long I read that though. This is nice to see people of such public figure commenting positive to investing on cryptocurrency. This will of course cause a positive drive to investment.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is still the top most selling finance related book and almost all of new investors go through it as they start. The book though takes priorities and decisive note in some matters, is a well balanced advice for looking at investment opportunities. And bitcoin is certainly one of them. Illegal doesn't always mean unethical. Bitcoin has been outlawed and made legal again in many parts of world.

Robert's influence was enormous on millennials, I like every teaching he gives, really a big thinker. Bitcoin a few hours ago has already hit $ 7k, hopefully, in the next few weeks it will return to $ 10k.

On one hand Bitcoin is very likely a good long term investment, because there's still a huge chance for big FOMO-driven bull runs, and on the other hand it's still very volatile and doesn't react well to big crashes. This guy seems to be saying he usual "Bitcoin is a hedge against global economy blah-blah", which at this moment doesn't look very true. I wouldn't advice to invest in Bitcoin to everyone, I think it's only suitable for those who can tolerate high volatility and sit on their investment for years.

It doesn’t really matter what public figures think, bitcoin is decentralized & is beginning to gain more & more users as we edge towards mainstream adoption. Obviously if public figures speak positively about bitcoin it’s not a bad thing.
Is it gaining users fast enough, though? Blockchain.com had a bit less than 3 million wallets created since the beginning of the year, so it's roughly 1 million wallets per month. The current number is 47 million. With 12 million wallets per year, we'll need 4.5 years to reach 100 million, which still is not that much if compared with the world population. I know that the 'one wallet=one user' assumption is quite wrong, but it seems clear from the current tendency that while adoption is definitely going up, the rate is too slow to talk about global adoption.
And as for this Kiyosaki guy, his reputation in the world of financial advice doesn't look too good since, as Wikipedia mentions:
Quote

Kiyosaki's company filed for bankruptcy in 2012
and
Quote
In 2007, the Ohio state Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing issued a statement warning people against some of the illegal methods preached by Kiyosaki in his books and seminars
.

Look that even a popular and famous business man is currently using and supporting bitcoin as well as the cryptocurrency because they know the future of this and what would be the future of the currency because this will may eventually help them to regain their company ot business to the top so it would be a good practice of we will be able to just support bitcoin right now.

Bitcoin is indeed being spoken of at many places. Lately I saw a video where the host propose bitcoin to be used as payment method for this pandemic since Cash is a medium to spread more of the Corona Virus.

I think bitcoin is now becoming a solid hedge fund. From what I can see with the current marked up of the economy. Recession is a bigger killer, and countries affected by the crisis see that now. Why Italy, suddenly allowing their bank trade bitcoin? Why some celebrities and known personnel becoming inclined towards btc? As much as we can, bitcoin are now one of the strong backup aside from gold. Im not rich to buy many, but Edward Snowden is right. There is a good opportunity in bitcoin especially on the time like this. Get some, you know.
