Pfft, America didn't go into nuclear war in Iraq and that country is in a far more valuable location and has been falsely accused of having WMDs, which would have justified a first strike. What makes these people think the US would waste nukes on Venezuela?

It's already volatile, if they want regime change they have alternatives that are far less costly in every way.

Yeah. All they need to do is nothing. People need to see the end result of this ish. Do nothing. Stay the f*k out and let it collapse or rise on its own.

No aid. No nothing.

Interference backfires since it causes resentment among the people. Even subtle manipulations like arming protesters can have repercussions, example bad PR. Let them burn it down themselves, let the peacekeepers handle it afterwards.

you cant convince people with weapons, to be productive people

you can only reduce them to slave who work only if they want to live.

and they wont work for long.

And thats exactly whats going on with Venezuela. 10 dollars monthly wages, for a full time job Mon-Fri (or even Sat) 8 hours a day, and at the end of the month thats what you are left with, actually less if you deduct transportation and food needed to go from/to work

It is sad to see Americans just making comments and false predictions about Venezuela's future because they want to promote their own benefits.
Instead, they can help this country and their people that live there and struggle to feed themselves rather than making videos in order to take advantage of this sad situation.

Help Venezuela? How. If they want Socialism. If they think that's the best way to go, let them. Maduro or Guaido, they're both for socialism. One has proved himself to be tyrannical the other hasn't been in power yet.

I think Americans should stay out. Let the country rise or fall on their own. That includes NOT giving them aide.

Ron Paul is an example of someone who is great as far as being a good and right politician. But even he neglected the idea of taking laws and proposed laws to the people for their vote, using common law juries to test out what people want in various parts of the country.

Cool

Their politics is always the same, promote their own agenda and protect their own selfish interests.
Right now, they wants to help Guaido to become president because he will in turn give them their oil companies, so everything is about money after all, nobody cares about ordinary people.
American politics are always the same, everyone must listen to America, and it will never change.

I really don't think that anyone is dumb enough to start a nuclear war because of venezuela. nowadays wars are fighted through economic decisions like the trade war use vs china. or i.e. VW diesel gate, vw had to pay sooo much for this shit to usa. another example is BAYER in germany after they bought monsanto, now they have to pay so much penalties...  this are the economic wars today.

This is just typical blog bullshit, we're not going to have a nuclear war over Venezuela, and I highly doubt that Ron Paul thinks something like this is going to happen to. Venezuela is going to crumble when they're under more and more US sanctions, and a real government -- one that follows the constitution of their nation, should be able to be elected. It's not fair to a country to be ruled by a tyrannical leader who only cares for himself, and won't allow the people in his nation to accept foreign emergency aid.

A nation that won't allow other nations to help them is a nation that must be fixed. Maduro's regime is a horrid one and one that should fall.

It seems like some people are overestimating the conflict in Venezuela or simply dramatize the situation for their own benefit, which is also possible when politicians talk such things.
Right now Venezuela is a poor country that spends most part of their income that they get from oil export on paying their old debts. It doesn't seem that they can afford their own nuclear programme and tbh no one really cares about them.
The only noise in media is desperately made by US politicians blaming Venezuela for contacting with Russia like it is something bad by default.

+1

All they're trying to do here is get some traffic for the blog.

I don't think so.
We got closer to the nuclear war in 1961 during the Cuban crisis.
On the end, everything was solved by agreement between the USSR and the US.
I don't think that Venezuela is so important for USA or Russia now and that anybody will risk nuclear war because of them.
It's basically a war with words or empty threats without real meaning.
There is no need for much excitement about it.

Venezuela is not exactly "poor", its just badly managed, and the corruption so rampant they are stealing everything. Most of the income from oil is spent in the absurd "gasoline is free" policy, which happens to "fuel" the military corruption.
Somalia is not exactly a poor country. It is just badly managed. Almost every 3rd world country is so bad because of bad management. Everything could go another way if they provided another policy like 40-50 years ago.
In case with Venezuela they a poor because of socialistic policy combined with resource curse.

Lol, as if. Ron Paul seems to ignore the situation in this country. Or do you think the Russians somehow installed nuclear missiles here without anyone of us knowing, like in Cuba during Kennedy's era?

The main debt (with China) is paid in oil, only the Russians have been paid back in gold, but the gold reserves are running out which is (yet another) tragedy for the State, which has burnt all her international reserves. Thanks politicians in a presidential State.

Chávez wanted to start a nuclear program a decade ago, but that idea was left abandoned among several things that were promised "in socialism" but were never done, as usual.

You can blame Trump all you want for inciting wars, but calling it nuclear is getting delusional.
