Paul won Iowa. 10 of the 13 remaining delegates are people who I worked with in the Paul camp this election season.

I would not be surprised if all elections are fixed and Paul won Iowa.  You should be required to show photo id, they should take a picture of it, they should take your thumb print, you should also sign, they should also post whether you voted online.  The left keeps talking about the penalty for fraudulent voting, but if you slip in 10,000 ballots after the poll closes, who is going to know.  How are they going to prove they are fraud votes.  When I buy food at Pechanga casino I do most of that.  When you sign into a hotel, they usually take a copy of your id too.

It is not if they are cheating, it is to what extent.

Ugh the huffington post...  A hot bed of anti vaccine denialism and anti-scientific attitudes.  I will never forget the time I red an article touting the benefits of probiotics preventing various diseases because they quote, "eat fungi".  Even though a bacterium (a prokaryote) could never "eat" a eukaryote which on average is 10 times larger.  I would never believe anything posted here, and I say this as a Ron Paul admirer.  The only "source" more unreliable than the "huff Po" is naturanews.com...

He's been a brain dead automaton since the 1980s, one day he will stop moving and then the charade will be up Grin

Better yet, R.I.P. Jon/Atlas/MicroCheeseDick, the OP of this thread.

Just an update to those interested. Ron Paul's delegation just took over the state party. There's only one Santorum person on state committee here now, and even he's somewhat okay with the Ron Paul group because we're all younger people.

Yeah but this is all wishful thinking.  Ron got railed last night.  He got fewer total votes in NY and PA than the last time around in 08.  They didn't do a good job turning out their supporters.  They wasted millions on tv ads that convert hardly any one, and left the whole get out the vote effort to a volunteer online phone bank system.  innovative.  but if you have millions you should be staffing your own 100+ person phone bank and robo dials to turn these folks out and solicit supporters for $$.

Im not a right winger at all so you can disregard what im saying, but I think in a non-money based election Ron Paul would
win hands down because he advocates traditional Conservative and Libertarian values

I think the right will inevitably become libertarian soon. The internet is not a place where money can win you the loudest voice, and more and more people are moving there every day.

but the GOP establishment has decided to back the moderate Romney because hope he will swing interdependents needed to beat Obama, thoughts?

Let's not forget the media, for I believe they have ammo stashed away for their best case scenario: Obama vs Romney. The media would love to have that, oppose to Paul, Gingrich or Santorum as the GOP nomination, for he'll provide better copy, thus producing a more viable revenue stream via advertisers for them. The ammo I speak of could possibly be some yet-to-be-released skeletons in his wives's closets.

I have met and spoken to Kevin McLaughlin. He's actually very excited to have all these new and energetic young people in the Iowa GOP. I think he probably made those comments to save face with some of the more establishment GOP. He seemed genuinely happy to have me there, despite really only recognizing my name through a family member that used to work for him.

The Ron Paul contingent in Iowa is quite huge and very active. One of the former campaign chairs is now the head of the Iowa GOP. It's looking very good here, and it even looks like that if a Paul nomination doesn't happen here in 2012, then Rand is set up for a run in 2016. I won't comment further because I don't want to ruin my reputation within the organization, but the liberty movement is going to continue with or without Ron Paul.

As a libertarian who is now working within the GOP, it feels very weird. I have to continually tell myself that I support a cause and not the GOP itself, but there is immense pressure all the time for us to compromise on our principles. Fortunately, we have such strength that we don't have to. The frustration is all on the establishment's side. Smiley

Ron Paul likely won the Iowa straw vote as well but due to apparent establishment voting fraud, his 8 main districts were excluded from the results.

Yes, all the delegate vote results for Iowa in the mainstream media are wrong.

The true delegate count will soon be revealed.
