Hi, good day guys. I’m new to this platform and I’ve been perusing the site and I think I’m gonna love it here. I’m quite enthusiastic about Bitcoin and cryptos, I do mine crypto airdrops and my zeal to know more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies brought me here. I would be glad to have more insights and knowledge from the senior members, heroes and legends here. Thank you ☺️

Welcome to the BitcoinTalk forum. The BitcoinTalk forum is open to everyone to learn about cryptocurrency. You mentioned that you are very enthusiastic about crypto and bitcoin, which means you probably have a strong interest in learning about bitcoin. Although you can learn a lot more quickly by doing a google search about Bitcoin in addition to this forum to make yourself more experienced. As a beginner you need to know the basics about Bitcoin first. For example, who created bitcoin, when was bitcoin created, how to invest in bitcoin, etc. The more you Research about Bitcoin and the more interest you express, the faster you will learn.

Yes I have been able to convert successfully the following airdrops to real money or value;
Ice
Athene
Avive
Cyberdoge
Usmeme through hot
Tonpet
Airdrops are quite profitable, you just have to get the right information and tools for mining and follow it through despite how demanding it gets.
You are to be commended for airdropping success. But you should airdrop with caution as there are many scammers who ask for wallet seed phrases from members to airdrop. Many members fall for the scammers and even end up giving their wallet access to the fraudsters.

Congratulations on your success with airdrops. I never tried airdrops or bounties, I find anything that’s free money very suspicious. There’s always one person who has some positive experience with airdrops but contrary to what you may believe, I believe airdrops is based on luck and nothing else.

You made multiple posts in a row. You should read the forum rules to avoid making more mistakes.

Just have this simple question for you, ever since the time you have been mining these airdrops, have you been able to successfully converted such reward being offered into real money, because most of these are cloud mining and they have no monetary real value, you will have to ensure that you make your quality time being invested on what is rewarding, cloud mining are mostly scam, invest in real currencies or learn to mine bitcoin by knowing the requirements for that.

Scams are not moderated at all. A known scammer will have lots of negative tags and trust feedbacks but will be allowed to post in the forum as any other user. The exact reason for this is that the forum does not want to give anyone a sense of security. Bitcoin is all about self custody and self responsibility, so users should be able to safely navigate the forum, cue the warnings and avoid getting scammed.

I don't completely agree with this. I feel the mods if allowed can do some good and scam projects should not be allowed to advertise here, but that's just me.
Thank you for the awareness, I was thinking otherwise because of the kind of exposure and education the group brings, but maybe there’s a reason for allowing it, I don’t know.
I agree with you the moderators should be allowed to do something about it but just as you said bitcoin and crypto business is self responsibility, as such everyone venturing into it should be wise, smart and extremely careful.

Yeah You can’t really stop or prohibit them but when one is reported or noticed to be one should be kicked out and effectively punished. Talking about legitimacy, I meant giving members a sense of security to an extent,

How can you stop scammers from visiting the forum? What kind of legitimacy are we talking about? With Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, you must understand that only you are responsible for the security of your money. The only thing a forum can do for you is fill you with information so that you can begin to see where scams may be coming from. But unfortunately, we often see a slightly different picture. People come here already with bad experiences instead of taking some time to familiarize themselves so as not to fall into traps.
Yeah You can’t really stop or prohibit them but when one is reported or noticed to be one should be kicked out and effectively punished. Talking about legitimacy, I meant giving members a sense of security to an extent, you know a group like this is where people come to learn, meet intellectuals and have meaningful conversations/discussions but it’s unfortunate that some people come with ulterior motives to deprive people of their money.
Experience has thought me to be extremely careful. I’m still going through the forum, learning and understanding how things work. Every advice is IMPORTANT

It appears you have a good background knowledge about bitcoin already and that's great for you as you won't look lost in discussions on the forum unlike some of us that started with a blankslate knowledge about bitcoin mad crypto entirely.

As a newbie to the forum it's important you know about the rules here and other things. The thread links below will be helpful for you.

Welcome to this forum, I hope you can feel at home here if the goal is to learn and develop knowledge about Bitcoin through this forum. However, to increase your knowledge about Bitcoin more quickly, don't just rely on this forum to gain more knowledge. But you can also use several other sites that are trusted enough to dig up more information about Bitcoin such as Cointelegraph and CoinMarketcap to support the level of knowledge you are currently looking for. Although you will also find a more different experience when you have frequent discussions on this forum, mate.

Yeah I’ve had an experience I’m quite careful about them these days. Thank you for the information, I’ll be more careful now cause I was thinking the forum will be more Legit though there are hackers and scammers everywhere these days, one needs to be well guided and smarter. I’ll make sure to use your tips if I’m to engage in it

Since you mentioned crypto airdrops, I'll advice you be very careful when using them. Most airdrops are scams looking to steal your funds and/or your privacy. Some will request that you link your wallet to their website giving them control over your private keys which they use to sweep your wallet, others will collect email and password information from multiple users and sell it to other scammers.

If you just use them, always use a new wallet which you don't have any other asset of yours and use a throwaway email and password each time. Do not reuse passwords.

You're welcome. Seeking knowledge about Bitcoin and having a conversation around it and it's technology is one thing that we all have in common on the forum. The only way to enjoy your time here is if you abide by the rules both official and unofficial of the forum
. I'm sure some users will drop the link to these in the thread. Also there are different formats in which you can learn about Bitcoin, audio, text, and video. Choose the one that works best for you and find Bitcoin resources around it. The best part of being in the forum is getting to contribute meaningfully to the discussion and you can only do you if you read and stay abreast with Bitcoin news both on the forum and outside the forum.
