The stats look wrong to me apart from Ethereum.

For Lyra2z you should have used latest T-Rex miner. For X16R you should have used latest Z-Enemy and T-Rex. 1080TI does more then 16 mh/s.
yes it does more. like 20-30. those tests are very lazy.

I guess if electricity is dirty cheap or for free will be better to get two 1080tis instead of one 2080ti

2080 is close to the same price as a new 1080ti, same performance maybe a bit bettee
and no optimized miners yet.  2080ti is a big bust 2080 is ok and better than a 1080ti

Rx480 / 580 video cards give about 900 hashes in Cryptonight. The RX Vega 64 gives you 2000 hashes. On this algorithm, "RED" graphics cards were always in the lead.
Perhaps there will be new algorithms on which 2080/2080ti will show an excellent result.
But do not forget that in 2019 new versions are expected from AMD

Rumours say next week for "RX670" and next month for "RX680", just same good old Polaris in 12nm. 15% more perf to be expected for same power draw.
amd comes theough again, basically thier version of a 1070, cheaper too i bet

Did you consider the payback of these video cards in mining?
2080, after optimizing mining programs, will give better performance than 1080Ti.
Technological process RTX 2080 12 nm, and AMD promises in 2019 a new series of video cards on the technological process 7 nm. It will be interesting.

the 2080 is pretty good on progpow mining bci

it will do about 23.5 hash at 168 watts

a 1080ti will do about 21 hash at 200 watts

I don't think it does better then these improvements on any other al-gore-rythm Grin

but it may be the best card if you only want to mine BCI

interesting numbers. It makes sense , progpow uses more of the GPU than other algos so it should do better on a more power compute platform.

BCI is not enough though, maybe if more coins switch to prog pow 2080s might be worth it.  Actually a new 2080 and new 1080 TI are only within $100 of each other
so might be a decent buy... If i was buying gear .. which i sure as hell am not lol

Surprisingly high power consumption. I was expecting better "per watt" results. If new cards make significant impact on prices for older graphics cards 1080 will be better choice. The only thing we need is a new bull run Smiley
yeah the power use is really concerning

It looks like GTX 1080 ti still better on mining ETHash and Equihash algo's but RTX 2080 ti has better performance for Cryptonight v7 and x16r algo's.

Can you try to test these algo's NeoScrypt, Zhash, and TimeTravel10.

Here are some tests.
Mine monero and ZCash at RTX 2080/2080 is not the best solution. Ethereum coin is also not the best solution for mining on these video cards.
Good tests for RTX 2080

Back again with new benchmarks, this time for RTX 2080 Ti same by Gigabyte https://amzn.to/2zXk7rY

The 2080 Ti has got 30% higher power consumption than the 2080, though it also features higher power limit. My RTX 2080Ti allows me to drag the power limit down to 60% before it starts losing hashrate. The 2080 can work without any hashrate loses even when power limit is at 47% on ethereum.

Some quick results, more here https://1stminingrig.com/gigabyte-rtx-2080-ti-mining-performance-review/
