There's also the unofficial hazing ritual where you send 0.001 BTC to my wallet and get absolutely nothing.  Wink   Grin

(Kind of black humor there, since everyone is almost bound to make some mistake that costs them something, it's like the first scratch on a new car kind of thing.)

I'm sure you could probably earn some Bitcoins doing this scam haha. Just PM all the newbs you see who are frustrated that they can't get out of newb jail that if they send you a donation you will grant them VIP GOLD membership.

Waiting for 4 hours is still better than waiting forever, bitcointalk.org is the king when its comes to bitcoin and altcoins discussions.
I will wait i guess it worth it.

Dead link

I have exacly the same problem. Can't post even to pool's support threads.

It's in the newbie readme: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbie-readme-177133

You have to make one post consisting of several sentences and wait 4 hours.

@OP That's pretty simple to explain because the "newbie" has to make one post and wait about four hours to gain full access here.

Thank you for the information.  Well, it explains quite a bit of the information.  I'm trying to participate in a groupbuy.  I'd like to post a reply to the thread so there's a record.  I guess I'll wait in the morning.

I figure this post is substantial enough.  There's a number of sentences. Maybe this is a sign.  Maybe I shouldn't participate in the group-buy.  lol.

Anyway, thanks for the info on this topic.

There are quotation marks in your URL that are preventing it from being viewed.

Can you tell me specifically how many posts a newbie has to make to gain full access, and/or what is the waiting period?  In other words do you need to make X number of posts AND wait for a certain time? Or can I just wait it out?  I don't want to make a bunch of useless posts that no one cares about, just to get member status...
