You can also undervolt them, and they will run more efficiently, within that load.

I had 4x 7970's running at 980mv and 980core at 75memclock... was under 700 for the whole system. You can also power the fans with an external PSU, or wall-wart. You don't HAVE to have them controlled by the computer and GPU controllers. Save the clean and precious power for the GPU.

Assuming each 7950 uses 200, that's only 600w.  That allows you to have an extra 150w for overclocking etc.

You'll be fine.

SO I am expecting my 4th 7950 tomorrow to complete my gaming rig and I have been using it to mine as well to help offset the cost a little and hopefully help pay in part for a 3-5 display setup eventually. I'm currently running 3 7950s and one 7870 Tahiti @ 750 core/1500 memory extremely undervolted with a Corsair GS700 and EVGA NEX750B. I have plenty of cables left for the 5th card. The Corsair handles 2 of the 7950s easily but the EVGA seems a bit crappier(I bought with bitcoins and didn't get a good descrption-IE: has split 12v rails) but I'm sure the gold version is a great PS.

Anyways, what do you guys think of 3 7950s on the EVGA? it has 4 PCIE connectors and I have adapters to run off the molex connectors. I'm gonna try it either way tomorrow I'm just wondering if anyones had success with this and if so what power supply incase the EVGA goes up in smoke lol.
