All seems good now – maybe your ping broke the stalemate! Thanks for your patience.

Is port 8333 on you router being forwarded to the right IP address? IP addresses can change after computer reboots.

Can you send me your nodes IP address? I can try connecting my node to yours.

Not necessarily. Check the firewalls on your router and computer. Just because a third party website says they are open does not necessarily mean that the node is actually accessible.

No firewall on my Mac.

I have not touched the firewall settings on my router or any other settings for that matter, and just doublechecked them – same as ever. I just power-cycled my router and restarted Core. Still stuck at 8 connections.

SPI firewall shows the following options are checked:

Block Anonymous WAN Requests (ping)
Filter Multicast
Filter IDENT (Port 113)
Block WAN SNMP access

Anything fishy-looking?

I went to a website that told me port 8333 is open, that would rule out firewalls and port forwarding, right?

Directly after upgrading to 0.13.1 my full node got more connections than ever before.

Since restarting Core, I only get 8 connections anymore. Port 8333 is open.

I can't find anything that would cause this. Any ideas?
