You are right pal, crossfire is very common among PC gamers before we start seeing better high end standalone GPUs like GTX1080Ti, still I've not seen a dead gpu been used in crossfire connection for gaming but another thing is gamers off system ( PC ) when they are done gaming, atleast for some hours not mining, there is a difference here don't you think?
I didn't understand how the GTX1080Ti video cards use the crossfire connection.
Many gamers play 12 hours a day, so the gaming cases are equipped with good additional cooling.
I can't tell you which operating mode is harder for a video card, but any miner or gamer knows that good cooling of a video card will extend the life of the GPU.

Since your GPU is undervolted you won’t damage it or anything. It’s rare for a miner to damage a GPU by mining with it. There are gamers which got 2 of these cards in crossfire in a small case with bad air circulation and they don’t have issues so you won’t either with your open air rig.

Usually the most common component that goes bad are the fans. Generally you can replace them cheap or take them apart and lubricate the bearings and you are good to go. Most of the time they are assembled in such a way where you don’t need to remove heatsink even. So don’t worry about damaging your GPU from mining.

If the hashing power is stable after some hours of running and also the temp is max around 60 or 62°C then I believe you are good, I'm running my rx580s at 1150 core and 2180 memory, this is the only way I get 30MH out of the cards since they have Micron memory onboard, the temp is always around 56°C and 60°C
go to amd wattman and switch faster timing 1 or 2 you will get this even with 2070 memory.
UPDATE

I tested my rx580 with memory timing 2 in wattman and I was able to achieve 30MH where I was getting 29MH before, the only difference is 1 MH and it's a Micron memory type 580s, what I want to ask is the right Core clock for the Mclock 2070 cos I'm using Cclock 1150, thanks batsonxl
You are welcome mate.Yes 1150 is ok for them in range 2050-2100mhs. and also if you are using phoenix miner you can add -rxboost 1 which will give you another extra 1mhs.
What's the best core clock for 2150 to 2180 memory speed? I'm curious since you said 1150 is ok for 2050 to 2100 range, I'm actually using 1150 and 2160 and I'm getting stable 30mh on my rx580
Even if rx580 has same memory type on them it still doesn't mean they can't perform better than other rx580, you need to take your time with the clocking and find their stable clock settings, for me 1150 coreclock and 2150 is the most stable I get

I have a rx580 8gb vram here that I'm running at 2250 memory clock with 855mv and it's giving me 32mh but my mind isn't at rest because I don't know if this can be run for everyday mining without bricking my graphic card so is there anyone running on such OC with no issue probably for years now?
Temperature of the GPU and Mem is all you need to watch, rx580 can still handle 2250 Mclock, reduce the mv855 down to mv840 using wattman this will lower the power consumption and also the temp too, if stable with this settings you can run for months or years if you want

So 30MH with 2070 Mclock is possible just by activating faster timing in AMD wattman software? Damn why don't I know this before? Thanks for sharing I will give this a try and drop some results later

What temperature are you running?  My 580's are about 58 degrees, but I run 2100/1100.

im running 480/580 2070-2100mhs max been working 4 years all good never had problem but in this period of time there must be maintenance like changing paste, clean from dust i do every year once.
