I think russia are still preparing for something, Because they don't want be to left behind by USA and China in terms of military development, Russia once known to be a superpower country and they just want to get back that title because of pride, I don't believe that they focus on military development just for nothing, They are aiming for something else.

Russia is a country that builds nothing

Why does not it build nothing? If you increase the costs, this means that this funding goes somewhere and was intended for something. The main thing that everything stood and worked.

The bridge to Crimea was something which even the Nazis failed at during the 1940s. The terrain is incredibly complex, due to the depth of mud. But now the bridge is almost complete, and the people of Crimea will no longer feel isolated.

If war does break out, you really don't care if Russia wins or NATO wins. The world will be a big loser.
And it doesn't matter if your wealth is in bitcoins or in gold, there is a chance that you may not be alive to enjoy it.

If the war is between Russia and the NATO, and if you are living in some other country, then the chances are that you will survive the war. Countries such as Brazil and Argentina refused to participate in the WW2. And their economy grew a lot after the war.
More just after the second world war developed the German economy. This country was completely destroyed and was able not only to recover but is now one of the leading places in the world. Maybe for a country to be developed it is necessary to destroy?

Before the WW2, the German economy was among the top 3 economies of the world. Where are they now? I agree that they made a remarkable recovery despite the allied occupation (similar to Japan). But they have lost their dominance.
Now 3rd place in the world is Japan, and 4 in the world is Germany. No world leadership they lost. This proves that where there is no influence of Russian people live better. Russia is a country that builds nothing, only destroys. You better look at the Russian economy before world war 2 and now.

It's not like that. Germany always had good economy, before and after the war. Berlin suffered a lot during the war, but Southern Germany did not.
Looking back we can see that countries under the influence of communism rebuilt much slower than the rest. Look how Bulgaria and Hungary are doing, they are in much worse condition than the Netherlands, Sweden, or Belgium. I'm purposely not comparing them to France or Spain, because of the differences in land and population.

Another interesting aspect is neutrality. It seems waving white flag can sometimes be a good idea. We all know how France fought during the war, their courage is a popular theme for jokes, but people forget about many other countries, like the mentioned Netherlands and Belgium, who gave up the moment they saw the Germans marching towards them.
Why so far to see. After the second world war, East Germany was under the occupation of the Soviet Union. It's been over 20 years since the fall of the Berlin wall, but they never reached the level of West Germany.

War can kill Bitcoin and if there would be shortage of food it would be nearly impossible to pay foods with Bitcoin as many farmers (especially in my own country) are right now still not into cryptocurrency. There would be no power and certainly no internet so exchange of Bitcoin can be virtually impossible. Personally, I feel that soon we can be experiencing another global war as there are now many factors already in placed. Russia is not as naive as the USA and it is now preparing to go to war anytime.

I think what he is saying is, the level of overwhelming force would poison the planet this time. At the very least, we would most likely get involved (well, pre Trump at least) if Russia started threatening or engaging any NATO allies with nuclear force. If we get involved, IE if Russia and the United States go to nuclear war in earnest..

It will be the most spectacular war that humans will see, and the last conflict that humans will witness.

Its not like they'd bomb just about any city. if there are to be bombed its usually the military camps. But will bitcoin have a good value if somehow a war broke and every country takes sides already to go war?

Everyone is waking up to the fact that MAD isn't really as effective of a deterrent strategy as it used to be, and that's why you're seeing a lot of countries opening up to modernization and expansion of their armed forces. Between the advances in missile defense systems, along with other anti-deterrent advancements, conventional warfare is suddenly viable again and potentially something they need to be very aware of.

Russia knows that the US could kick their ass in any conventional war, and that's essentially what the US has been building up in the MAD age; a strong army that can operate against other armies very well, however the US slacked on their nuclear tech. Russia did the opposite and is now just reversing the trend; they made advances in nuclear technology to operate as a deterrent while leaving their conventional forces weaker than what they could do.

This is one of the reasons for Trump recently allocating funds to upgrade the US nuclear program. A measure which he received much criticism over due to most people not realizing russia is leaving the rest of the world behind in terms of the nuclear arms race.
The united states in particular is a massive failure with programs like the F-35 being an extreme waste of taxpayer dollars.
What this means economically, is if war breaks out, russia could win. The rest of the world could have fallen too far behind in terms of military technology and effective spending to keep up.
The main difference between the present Russia and the US is that,Russians wont poke their business into others while the US is constantly doing that for the past 20 years, how much wars the US started and what is the situation of the mess they started, they just elevated the situation ten fold from what it was in 2001,so the progress is negative. If a war breaks out no one will win, with the nuclear arsenal all the major countries are holding it will be a total catastrophe .

What do you expect?? Russia  just to sit and watch?

During the Cold War, there was an agreement between NATO and Russia - NATO will not go further to east and Balkans, Ukraine + some Pribaltic countries to be a buffer.

Then in past years, NATO joined Romania, Bulgaria and even speaking of joining Ukraine?! Do you know Russia have a NAVY fleet based at Ukraine (Crim)? What you expect - Russia to pay the rent to NATO to keep their fleet at Black Sea.

Based on what you have there, its just a show off and the reason why they are spending so much on the accumulation of weapons, is best known to them. However, I don't see all those physical artillery as an achievement so to say because the war that will be fought (if any) will not be fought based on the number of fighter jets or even, the tanks the helicopters its basically going to be a chemical war which on the basis of the amount of nuclear and anti-nuclear weapons.

it sounded like they are ready to bomb each other. if those missiles can bomb half way around the world, my suggestion is to bomb the huge threat of all, china because if not, they'd be the one who will eventually rule the world just like we see it on movies.

Russia has been dominating the news headlines of late, and for all the wrong reasons. But did you know that they have been drastically increasing their military spending over the past decade? It’s true. While current and previous U.S. administrations have eschewed the Russian threat as being less dangerous than it is, we are seeing something seriously noteworthy take place in Vladimir Putin’s nation.

Led by a new generation of “super weapons,” Russia is beginning to turn heads all over the world. Here are some of the technological marvels we’re talking about.

Sukhoi PAK FA T-50

Sukhoi aircraft have an impressive history in Russia. The newest model, the T-50, is currently in joint development with India. The T-50 is equipped to sustain supersonic flight, better than previous planes. Its range at supersonic speeds is 930 miles. At subsonic speeds, it can go 2,175 miles. It’s an aerobatic plane which can sustain 9G maneuvers for up to 30 seconds with pilot ejection possible from an altitude of 60,000 feet.

T-14 Armata Tank

According to a UK Ministry of Defence report, “[the T-14] certainly deserves its billing as the most revolutionary tank in a generation.” Its 2A82-1M main cannon boasts a firing rate of 10 to 12 rounds per minute. Its APS (Active Protection System) enables the T-14 to swat away attacks that are at speeds exceeding Mach 5. This technology can also hinder the targeting systems associated with anti-tank guided missiles.

It’s time for western nations to play catch up.

RS 24 Yars

Russia is taking its Cold War-era thermonuclear weapons to the next level. At the 2015 Victory Day parade in Moscow, they displayed their RS-24 Yars for the first time. Russia is the only modern country to develop a new generation of nuclear weapons wheras the united states and other countries rely on older cold war era munitions. The RS 24 Yars is newly developed to pierce missile shields employed by the united states.

MI-28N Helicopter

Added to the Russian army’s fleet in 2006, this mean looking chopper is expected to be improved in the coming years.

As early as 2017, Russia is expected to test a new fifth-generation edition of this flier.

This isn't a good overview, it fails to include many russian military innovations such as hypersonic missiles or super cavitating torpedoes.

The media is turning a blind eye to russia modernizing & upgrading its military while the united states & other nations remain stagnant.

NATO and the UN take pride in deploying missile shields and interception networks, not seeming to realize russia is already upgrading their ICBM's and missiles to penetrate those defensive systems.
