It looks to me like russia is trying to control the crypto currency market in there county which i think is a bad thing. The thing that is good about crypto currencies is that they are decentrilized so what is the point of this coin if it is no different to the current ruble that is in circulation? It is just like the current currencies run by bankers.

Why is everyone so slow? I found out about this maybe a two or three days ago, and I'm just now seeing it on the forums and even on reddit, like it's "new" information. Even though I found out about this a few days ago, not really sure what I could have done with it.

It's interesting to see know that Russia will be launching it's own Crypto. Earlier Puttin had commented that Russia will host one of the largest Bitcoin mining farm and that they are getting things ready in the background to achieve this. Next thing I hear is that Russian Financial experts say that BTC is a threat to Russian Economic structure and it should be banned. Now the third news about their having their own currency is interesting. To be honest, Russia has huge potential when it comes to mining/crypto world. A lot of good developers hail from this land hence they stand a good chance to lead.

Whatever the case may be, let's wait and see what future unfolds.

The news of the intention in Russia to issue its own crypto currency - the cryptoruble is extremely interesting, since just recently Putin said that the crypto currency is a threat and a potential danger due to high risks and the possibility of using it for money laundering. Taking into account such a position of the head of state, a natural question arises, and to what extent this new Russian crypto currency will correspond to the basic principles originally laid down in it, including anonymity and decentralization. It seems that in Russia they will invent something new.

i just came across this today. Vladimir Putin has officially stated that Russia will issue its own ‘CryptoRuble’ at a closed door meeting in Moscow, according to local news sources. Which i find is interesting because not so long ago Russian authorities were looking into a complete ban. Anyway to have a look check out my link on deeponion.org - https://deeponion.org/community/threads/cryptoruble-announced-today.4414/ and let me know your thoughts!
