Crimea already has the crime - Kazantip festival already brings in a lot of mafia and angry young men.
They plan to implement it only in a few cities. not all over Russia
Check the title. I said that a casino boom is being planned for Crimea, not the entire Russia. Right now Casinos are only legally allowed to operate in 5 out of the 85 regions of Russia.

Sochi tourists arrival numbers are hitting all time highs. And some guy here says that it is a ghost town.
Also, a lot of Russian tourists are visiting Crimea, instead of going to Goa or Egypt.

I visited Sochi several times for vacation during the Soviet era. Already then it was lively city with good infrastructure. After SU was destroyed and Russia got unabashedly robbed, Sochi, like so many other places around Russia, fell into disrepair.
The attention that OL brought to Sochi both nationally and internationally, along with capital inflow, can only be positive. So your statement is utter nonsense.

Smoking too much shrooms? Sochi is the fastest growing city in Russia. Only the American propagandists doing pay-for-post work will call a city of 350,000 as a ghost town.

With Crimea's rudimentary infrastructure this may very well end up a logistical disaster. Of course the infrastructure may see development because of this project, but considering how such things are dealt with in Russia, it's highly unlikely.
Well.. let us hope that the (local) taxes which are levied on the Casinos will be diverted to improve the infrastructure (such as roads and bridges). Casino business is huge in Russia, it generates billions of $$$ of taxes every year.

Hmm... since now Crimea is a part of Russia, I am expecting an upswing in the fertility rates. The maternity capital is quite significant in Russia (amounts to close to $12,000).

According to the 2012 stats, out of the 24,702 births recorded some 5,240 were to Crimean Tatar mothers. That constitute to some 21.2% of all the births.
So, here are the demographics:
Crimean Tatars: 14% of the population, 21.2% of all the births. Birth rate of 19.1 per 1,000. Fertility rate of 2.54 children per women.
Others: 86% of the population, 78.8% of all the births. Birth rate of 11.5 per 1,000. Fertility rate of 1.54 children per women.

That was great. casinos is a great addition to beach resort hotels and it does bring a lot of revenues.
I've read about this a month ago. They plan to implement it only in a few cities.
Well, it will most probably be restricted to a few sea-side resort towns, like Yalta. Monte Carlo Mk.II, here we come.

Bad Things..Crimea is very beautiful region with crystal clean nature and sea..It will be very bad with casinos now..
