the micron one blasts thru at 31mhs with 1180 cclock 2150 mclock and 850mv
That's a great achievement!

Micron are for me very good for ETH but Samsung looks better for Cryptonight.

Just found your post.

I got 1 Msi armor with micron and 2 with samsung and I'm seeing the same discrepancy.

I'm actually having very little luck in getting the samsung ones over 30mhs... Past 2020mclock they start throwing hdw errs.
Meanwhile, the micron one blasts thru at 31mhs with 1180 cclock 2150 mclock and 850mv super stable no errs.

If you don't mind could you share the samsung strap? was it just a 1750 copy to 2000?
How can you run them at 2250??? one of mine bsods at 2150 the other just throws tons and tons of hdw errs

Mine are all MSI Rx 580 Armor 8g OC. Are yours armors or gaming?

you can review my findings here:
MSI RX 580 Armor 8g OC (Micron vs Samsung) - issues with Samsung

stock
micron was 27mhs
samsungs were 26mhs

True, 1300mhz GPU is high, but it literally loves GPU core clock. Downclocking the core to 1100mhz cuts my hash to 29.7~ increasing it t 1200 get me 31.4~ and 1300 is 32.2+
But at 1200 MHz and 0.9 V, you'd probably consume 30-40  less watts per card. At current prices, it might not be worth it.

I have 570s with Hynix, but a friend of mine landed two Gigabyte cards, an Aorus and a Gaming card with Samsung chips. His out-of-the-box performance was way better than mine. Why haven't you posted custom timings for the Samsung cards?

I find the Samsungs undervolt better and run better above 1200 memory core.

These Micron RX580's are the only ones I've seen so responsive to Core OC, my Samsung 580's dont care if core is at 1300 or 1125 same hash regardless.

These also dual mine beastly, 31mh and 1.0ghz DCR @1200mhz/2250 my samsung are doing 29.2 at 1125 and 2200.

I think 1300 MHz CPU is a bit high.
I have no problem at 1200 MHz and 900 mV and there is probably a bit of margin left.

I would check now. It's not hard. Pushing higher is useless if you have a bunch of memory errors. I wish you well, getting 32 MH/s would be great.

Haven't check yet, just testing so far. I just see if they can push 2250, and move down from there.

Are you checking for memory errors in HWInfo?

Those are good but not fantastic, I'm doing over 31 MH/s with my six Hynix.

MSI Samsung RX580 8GB
BIOS MOD 1750 Straps
Stock: 27.5mh/s
2250mhz OC:- 30.5Mh/s

MSI Micron RX580 8GB

Any one else have RX580 with micron memory, seems to be the best to me. Best timings out of box, best overclocking, kicks samsung to the curb.
