If you have great cooling system, then I would suggest you get powercolor instead of XFX because of lower price for better ROI. Anyhow mining is just an investment in coin, so price does matter.

XFX have better cooling while the Powecolor have a higher factory overlock specially in the Golden Sample. But since the shift to the RX 580s the Sapphire Nitro+ and Pulse is the better card because of their improved cooling solution and PCBs. But if you will go for either of the two get the much cheaper ones since they are still both RX 580s and as of now only a couple of stores are selling it at a much cheaper price. As i have checked prices in newegg right now the Powercolor Red Dragon Rx 580 8gb is around $279.99 as opposed to the cheapest XFX RX 580 8gb at $309.99. Please take note that the prices might still change.

The architecture is almost the same. The difference is GPU Turbo PowerColor 1425 Mhz and XFX 1405 MHz. In mining depends on the coin algorithm and the type of memory.

Hello,
I'm considering buying either RX 580 from Powercolor or from XFX. Is it worth buying or other marks are much better? So far I have some Sapphires and those are ok.
Thanks for advices.

you should choose Sapphires, MSI ......

I have bought power color red devil rx 470s before. Although I don't like their marketing, especially the way the advertise the devil, i'd say their cards are better because they are usually (at least the ones i was able to buy) built using samsung memory. Samsung memory = better hash rates.

not for eth. Eth it would be Hynix.. For zcash mining Yes I 100% agree with u then

I'm running several PowerColor RX 580 8GB Red Dragon V2 GPUs at 29.5MH/s (dual mining) at 100W GPU-Z and about 130W at wall, very stable at 825/850mV undervolt (1150/2100MHz).

I have around 45+x XFX Rx 580 8gb GTR Best buy edtion with the 1 button pop out fans. Imo best thing every created especially for mining. I can easly replace fans in less then 1 min and I run them @ 95% all the time as they're cheap to replace. Each one gets 31.2-31.8 Mh's and stays very cool and very good at undervolting

Sapphire cards are better than most Powercolor and XFX, especially if we're talking about Nitro series. Even Pulse is better. Red Devil Golden is alright, but I wouldn't get anything else from those two.
