Welcome to the world of mining and BIOS modding.

what happens if i need to install the card on another rig? Will the card be not recognised and then i d need to uninstall drivers with ddu and run patcher again?

You install it normally. Plug it in and run windows OS. It doesn't matter if the windows OS is not yet patched with the pixel patcher. It will display error code 43 but you will still be able to run windows and view your screen normally.

If i have 6 cards already modded can i install the 6 alltogerher and run the patcher? Or i need to do it one card at a time with only one card on the motherboard?

It is always best to do it one card at a time. Basically, install GPU, turn on windows, let windows install the driver, shutdown computer, repeat.

You only need to run the pixel patcher once after all the cards are installed. With a modded Bios on a RX 470/480 or RX 570 on Windows you need to run the pixel patcher any time the driver is updated or installed or you will have a code 43 error in the Windows Device Manager. If you install the card on another machine you will need to patch the drivers on that machine as well.

Hi everyone,

First of all i m new to polariod bios mod and i haven't done it yet. I have read many guides and i understand the steps. Though there is one thing that is unclear for me.

Once i have modded the bios and used the ati patcher so that the bios is not refused by the driver, what happens if i need to install the card on another rig? Will the card be not recognised and then i d need to uninstall drivers with ddu and run patcher again? If i have 6 cards already modded can i install the 6 alltogerher and run the patcher? Or i need to do it one card at a time with only one card on the motherboard?

Many thanks for reading me and many thanks in advance for your answer
