I have recently installed an RX580 8GB and RX590 8GB in my PC to use for mining using betterhash. When I start the program I can see the cards seperately but when I start mining the Algorithm will indacte that it has to RX80's as miners. With that issue it brings my hash rate to 12 to 17 MH/s vs the 25 MH/s with just the RX580. What am I doing wrong.

Machine:
MB:ASRock B450M
RAM: 32GB (8GBx4) DDR4 3200
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 @3.4GHz
SSD: 250GB
GPU1: RX580 8GB GDDR5
GPU2: RX590 8GB GDDR5
PSU:EVGA 850Watt
What are you doing wrong? You probably forgot to enable the compute mode in the AMD drivers settings.
How to enable Compute Mode on AMD Radeon video card

I recommend using drivers older than September 2020.
Use msi afterburner, the settings for you are written above.
25-26 megahash should be obtained from each card

Thanks man, I have nicehash installed and will start on it. I know Betterhash seems pretty simplistic but nicehash has better controls. I will give it a try once I get home, I have the PC ready to all I have to do is start the software.

Why betterhash? That mining software sucks to be honest, you'd better download nicehash and see how easier mining can ever be for newbies like you, I'm using Nicehash with RX580 and gtx1660 supers and it works fine, you don't need to to mode the rx580, I'm getting 29.70 MH out of the box with simple settings using msi afterburner

There is no issue with the GPU, you need to configure the bios per card to achieve a higher hash rate for every GPU, and that is a lot of work and dangerous if you don't know how to do it you might miss configure the device and destroy it, by the way, post this one on the mining section so that they will be able to help you more.
