Great thank you very much. So an adapter would be the best idea  in order to use only one cable per card / riser combi?

That's right, I like doing this kind of setup as you can manage and arrange your cable accordingly to make more cleaner rigs

You might need these kind of extension to reach the riser card using single cable

https://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Sleeved-Extension-Connector-PP07-PCIB/dp/B00B46XJ7K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1518780777&sr=8-3&keywords=8+pin+pcie+extension

And how to handle it when I'll run even more cards (switching corsair hx750 to 1200w then)?

there is no special handling of it, its your desire and art skills to make your rig more cleaner and sexier it should be.

use this guide on the proper power handling on each cable

Hi Guys

Searched already this forum and also through the internet but it seems there are a lot of different opinions on this topic. I'm building my first mining rig with 6x Sapphire Nitro+ rx580 cards (I'll add more cards in the future but for now I'm running with 6. ) and got an issue with cable connection. I intended to connect 1 gpu and 1 riser with the same power cable, however it's not possible with the cable length (see attached img). So what is the best way to do it? Thought best way to do it is one cable per riser / gpu. I can connect those 6 cards with 6 cables (I only use the 8pin, not 6pin) but how to connect the risers? Should I buy more cables and then power 2x riser per cable separately? Or use a 6pin extension cable like this: /GY1Rpe]https://[Suspicious link removed]/GY1Rpe? Read a lot of different setups but anyway I'll have to buy more cables I guess since adapters shouldn't be used?.

And how to handle it when I'll run even more cards (switching corsair hx750 to 1200w then)?

Thanks for your advice
