There are individual heatsinks for each chip that are surface soldered on the way that the S17 models were designed. The missing ASIC chip error may simply be a bad solder joint opening up as the board expands from heat and a loss of communication occurs. Also, a chance you have solder balls somewhere or a bad ASIC chip. Unfortunately, no easy way to find the cause. We have spares available for sale depending if you have aluminum or fiberglass version hashboards
Hello sir yes i will love to buy spare board i have fiberglass (Non Aluminium) hashboard

Yes sir I have tried the code editor but can’t find the solution. It’s still giving the 0 chip !

0 asic in the Kernel log usually like 90% of the time indicates a short somewhere in the hashboard, in most cases caused by bad soldering, so this does need a professional to fix it, if you willing to risk it for whatever reason like if you can't find anyone to fix it locally or if the repair cost is too much, you can try one of two methods, I have personally had some success with first method, other people reported success with the second.

1- Freeze your hashboard
2- Heat it your hashboard

If you go with the first option, do read my topic, it has all the details on how I did the test on the 17 series

Yes sir I have tried the code editor but can’t find the solution. It’s still giving the 0 chip !
I think it’s the hardware fault earlier. I changed OS but still failed
I’m trying to see if I can fix this Maybe I will search for some repair shop’
As I said it won't work because your hashboard is dead it's not a software issue.

If you are looking for an ASIC repair shop check the link below and select your country to find a repair center near you.

Or if you are planning to repair it DIY then there is a guide on how to repair the hashboard of this unit.
You check the guide here https://www.zeusbtc.com/articles/information/4961-antminer-s19k-pro-bhb56902-hash-board-repair-guide
Ok sir i will try and see if i can figure out or maybe i will order new board

Well i will try the eeprom editor .. and i changed the position of the board still getting the error of that particular board and can you guys suggest me where to buy the single hashboard Online can’t find the hashboard for s19kpro ..
And i saw someone asking to put the hashboard in oven it may have solder Ball ?

Are you trying to use code editor on 0 ASIC chip issue?
As I said even you use code editor on that hashboard with broken hardware you won't be able to fix that issue.

Have you tried to find first which one is broken by running them one by one?

Once you find the broken one with a hardware issue, focus on that hashboard because the mix board can be bypassed by changing OS or by using a code editor, but it can't fix the 0 chip.

I have the chinese hashboard code editor can i give a try ?

You can try, what is the worst thing that can happen to a broken hashboard, however, unless you have messed the EEPROM before you bought the hashboard used, I don't see how flashing it would fix it, it's most likely a dead chip somewhere, which isn't going to be fixed on a code level, if you did the basic troubleshooting like swapping hashboard positions and still always get the same board then chances are it's just dead.

bitmain firmware says fuck you all 3 run or we shut your ass down.

Won't taking the dead board out of the miner solve this? since when did Bitmain start doing this stupid shit?

I have had oem bitmain s19s refuse to run with 2 boards.

and run perfectly fine with braiins or epic.

braiins software is free to get and you pay a fee to use it,

epic controller is really good but costly to buy. No fees to use it. So if we get hot we save a lot in fees.

Sir i’ve tried the HiveOs two of my boards are working(Hashing) the last one is still not finding the chips i guess..
I replaced control board with one of my other s19kpro even swapped the cables too.. but still the hashboard not working.
What kind of error is this In log i saw an EEProm error still don’t understand.
Thanks for your reply sir

Since the first error said it's a mixed board then it's pointing to EEPROM and maybe the one hashboard is replaced. Did you buy it used unit?

Since you switch to another OS I don't think you still need to bother EEPROM error unless you want to stay using stock firmware? If you want to stay using the stock firmware you might need to use the hashboard code editor to fix that issue but it won't fix the other hashboard with 0 ASIC.
0 ASIC error is a hardware issue it needs to be replaced if you want to run the unit with 3 hashboard or like others do try to reflow all components on the broken hashboard with BGA hot air or put it on the oven but the chances to fix 0 ASIC issue is 50/50.
Yes i bought this used from local market it was working fine from the past few weeks..
I have the chinese hashboard code editor can i give a try ?
The last part of your message is hard for me to understand can you please explain more i’m new to these miner thing .. Thanks for your time sir

okay lets start from scratch.

You switched cables and no go. not a cable issue.

You put in a working bitmain controller and no go. not a bitmain controller issue.

So here is the issue the 1 board is dead is maybe

or the one board is mismatched and reads as dead. maybe

if it all worked fine for a while it is very likely the board died and is read as a mismatch.

bitmain firmware says fuck you all 3 run or we shut your ass down.

If you only want to run bitmain firmware if may mean you need to repair or reprogram the dead board.

But if you are willing to use after market products like braiins or epic both will allow you to run only 2 boards.

https://altairtech.io/product/epic-umc/.  the board is not cheap but you never pay a fee for it once you hook it up

look at my gear  all 3 boards are on. In your case you shut the dead on off and get 2 of 3 boards to work

you have a dead board.

try running braiins software and two boards.

I would tell you buy an epic controller from altairtech.io

https://altairtech.io/product/epic-umc/

but it is costly to do that. like $150

epic controller  will run 2 boards.

you could replace the control board to hashboard communication wire.

https://altairtech.io/product/antminer-ribbon-cable/

you could reseat the one not working.

likely fix is either braiins and run two boards or epic and two boards.

a score is reseat the 18 pin ribbon and it works as that is free.
Sir i’ve tried the HiveOs two of my boards are working(Hashing) the last one is still not finding the chips i guess..

you have a dead board.

try running braiins software and two boards.
