Thanks for the replies guys. Looks like I may be able to repair my S3+ then Smiley

It would seem that you might have to dial down the frequency depending on how good an S3 board you. Wasn't the biggest difference between the S3 and the S3+ the range of usable frequency (i.e. the S3+ being higher)?

Its the same thing except the non S3 have some batches that were subpar and indeed did not clock as well. Maybe most of the S3+ OC better but its not a different machine.

Hey guys,

Ive got a board down in one of my S3+. A nice member on here has a board from an S1 to S3 upgrade kit. Would it be compatible with my S3+? OR did they change something with the design or circuitry which means it wouldn't work?

Thanks.

YES !!!! the upgrade kit is a S3+ . the only difference's with the upgrade kit is no case like the S3 + in a box comes and the controller is all in one on the S3 + in a box , were as with the S1 upgrade kit you need a power board it comers with to plug the S1 controller into so it can run the S3 + boards that come in the kit.

If its the same connectors, it should work. I think the boards are mostly the same thing, connector wise and software wise its the same thing.
