well, if you have someone in china you can get the ++ unit pretty easy actually.
the bitmain office china side, http://shop.bitmain.cn/goods.php?id=44 , sellng S3++ @ RMB 700, of cause, it's always no stock available.

The good unit ++ is pretty good, i have running none stop over a week from now. no problem at all.  Grin

Very nice. 277W @ the wall for 455GH/S is excellent. You have an a miner that is doing 0.6J/GH quite a bit better than an unmodified S3+ consuming 355W giving 0.78J/GH. It's a pity that the S3++ was not generally available...

Dang wish the S3+ did this I would have been able to keep them a decent amount longer if I had gotten specs like that.  That is for sure worth giving it another +.

Wish they would have sold them to us little guys after hearing how it preforms.

You may be able to improve the efficiency further if you can reduce the supply voltage in the same way as you can with the S5. Would be interesting to see how low you can go before it stops hashing? However the chips must already be at about 0.75V so very close to optimum?

hi @RichBC ,

picture of complete hashing board.
https://dn-bitmain.qbox.me/o_19r932jpd1lgo1feu1ilo17qcsjda.jpg

Actually, i have log the problem S3++ at, https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1926 , with same photo shared. but they cant help me much and respond.

@notlist3d ,

S3++ the working unit is pretty good!
http://www.mms.net.my/bit/hrate.jpg

In the screen have S5 and S3++ unit, the good working S3++ unit hashrate is all above 450 GH/s, without overclock. standard freq rate as default. It's pretty amazing!.
I have order 20 unit, about half of them has send back to China for repair.

Later i will show you the WATT screen, as i dont have the tester plug with me now.

will be update.

That is pretty nice to get all above 450.  Seems that they were able to take some of the variable out of it.   My S3's veryied greatly  on speed.

But then again they were  batch 1 so they were known for some to do great and some to suck.

Can you show us it's status page and how many watts? Would neat to see the ++, no one posts it here as rare to get one.

Thanks for your time!

Why S3++ is not selling internationally? It's actually pretty easy to get any amount unit in China actually. Just the pricing issue.
I paid for USD210++ per unit on S3++ (Second hand + Well working)

This's my first time purchase S3++ too, I will update with some photo when i receive it end month.

I found this: https://asictrade.com/miners-sha-256/bitcoin-asic-miner-antminer-s3-plus.html

Looks to be the S3++, first time I've ever seen one.

Thank you for sharing link!  That is first time I have finally seen the S3++.   It is great that  it shows it on sticker I was wondering about that.

It is amazing how well the big data centers did at keeping all of the S3++.   Just seems individual owners never see this model come up for sales.  I wish we had some numbers of how many of these are out there.

About three months back some one had a lot of the S1 to S3 upgrade kits for sell on ebay and a few of these, i think it was the same guy. They sold out fast even the upgrade kits went fast but not as fast as these did .I passed up buying one because I thought the upgrade kit was a deal it was + did not notice nor read about these on ebay it looked like a normal S3 sell to me and the kit was cheaper. Then some one in the S5 thread pointed out they were not the normal s3 buy then it was to late the price had gone up too all most 400 a pop and were all most sold out. i think at first sell i could have bought one for 200 it went up that fast till it was gone the kits did all most the exact same thing started at 80 bucks or so and went as high as 120 before they were gone.

The S3++ running at 310w only, @ 480GH/s, while S3+ running at 350w,.
I need to calculate the electric and Amps using.

I have told by some china guy, S3++ design is difference with S3+ and S3. By end month i will receive it. It can be more clear after that.

wow! i am actually surprised that a product like that exists. Its pretty stupid adding another + to the name and calling it the s3++

S3++ isn't power savings from underclock. It was a test string design of BM1382, so the power savings is from not needing VRMs (which usually burn 10-15% of your total power). I'd like to get ahold of a couple myself... you know, for the archives.

If you don't mind please share some pictures of it.  I would love to see what it looks like in comparison and even inside if you do open one up.

Interesting they did do a decent underclock on it.

just by label? hmmm... im also not sure.
I have ordering 20 unit S3++ from china lately. They also didnt answer me how to difference them, maybe by outlook? or chip design..

What speed are they saying you will get with the ++ model.  I hope they put it on label other S3's were that simple it was on front sticker.

But these seem to not pop up to often compared to other models of S3.

hi all, does anyone know how to verify them? S3, S3+ and S3++ from outside? or inside systems?

Thanks!

S3 and S3+ can be told just by label.     Look at front and it will say it.

On S3++ I have not seen one in person.  They were sold in bulk to data centers.   Might ask Bitmain on it or maybe someone else here has one and can say.
