Ok after a second look, this seems like aixin A1 25 which is just about the exact miner as the Lover core A1, the control boards look identical, they two have (Rockchip RK3308) on them, and the same hashrate and power consumption as well.

Looking around the forum I found this topic and this topic with the same request, someone has uploaded the firmware, he is a newbie so you going to use it at your own risk.

If you don't want to take the risk, you can get in touch with one of the known sellers on Aliexpress who sells LoveCore A1 which is a lot more popular than this S5 brand so it wouldn't be as hard to find.

I bought it second hand here in Brazil and the seller was also unable to get support. This is the image of the plate:

(I don't know why this is giving an error in the image I'm copying the normal link).

Ok I can see the photos now but they are kind of useless, take the control board out and get a clear top-view image like this example of Aliexpress.

The image links you are trying to share result error 404 try to upload them on https://imgur.com/ (As mention above).

I tried to search with the keyword "s5 miner Zhongtian" in Google and it seems this miner does not belong to Antminer. It's another clone version of Aisen a1 24t and it doesn't have any support or website.

(I forgot to add this image as reference)

How did you bought this? If you have contact to the distributor or seller you can ask them how to update this.

There is no easy way, you need to do a lot of research and you need some luck,  someone had a similar topic with one of these weird miners, and I was able to identify the control board by asking a Chinese reseller who sells the same gear, so please post as many details and images and I will try to help you figure out the control board type.

... after finding out who produces can i update from there to a similar one?

You most likely can.

I think he has this weird S5 which is pretty new compared to the "ancient" bitmain S5, the problem with this "new S5" is that it's just a rebrand of some other miner, just like those Aladin miners on the Chinese market, you need to know what control board that is, it's probably from another known manufacturer (most likely Inno), try to contact the seller if that's an option.

That is because:
a. The S5 is a very old miner that was made only by Bitmain
b. To the best of my knowledge no one ever wrote 3rd party firmware for the S5 so yes the only firmware for it is from Bitmain
c. Being such an old miner - circa 2014 - there is no 'newer firmware for it

edit: Never mind - is not about BM's s5 but rather a knockoff using the s5 name
