Hmm. I guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope my fan replacements don't burn it out...

The temps sensors are chip level, there is nothing you can do that will revive it,  so I wouldnt bother taking it apart and risking damage for nothing.

Apologies if the answer is out there somewhere, I've spent several hours reading threads here and googling to no avail; I bought a used S5 from aliexpress and it works great, but since I replaced the fan with a pair of much quieter ones, I want to be able to monitor the temps. However, the temp reading is constantly 0. The machine hashes fine, and it is not running insanely hot as far as I can tell, just warm or slightly hot to the touch, but I want to play with the frequencies and clock speed (part of why I bought it, a tester to see if I want to buy more), so I'd really like to re-enable it. I have been messaging with the seller, who is very nice but I think the language barrier is causing a problem, the responses are polite but tend to be more reassuring that it is working fine so I don't think what I'm asking is translating well.

Anyone have any ideas? I flashed the firmware to the Nicehash one (since I'll mostly be using it there) and it didn't seem to change anything so I think it must be a hardware hack. Any answers or information would help. I plan to take it apart this weekend and delve into figuring it out...
