Haven't bought any miners direct from Bitmain since the S3/S5 days and I don't seem to remember any such delays in fact I was nearly always generally very pleased with the turnaround times then again that was before they started adding these obnoxious disclaimers right in the Product titles like:

Maybe, i'd definitively go for Batch 9 at this point since we're already in the shipping range. I doubt the 70$ extra + extra taxes is worth it. Also the B9 was apparently slightly different from the B8. Someone said it had some different fan connector or something. So maybe its different under the hood as well.
Yes I think batch 8 only had 2 Fan connectors & 3 hash board connectors fitted, whereas batch 9 has gone back to the full compliment of 6 fan connectors and 9 hash Connectors.
